They are having sex, why do you want to hide it? How is them rolling on top of each other whilst all the 'scary nude bits' are covered better then simply showing what it is?

Not to discourage idea of a tastefully done scene, but that might be a bit much.

I mean, it's obvious what's implied when a character comes out of a bathroom stall. That doesn't mean it needs to show defecation.
Obviously I'm fishing for a comparison, but I don't think making it that much more explicit would necesarilly add substance.
Narrative should have more precedence than extended nudity.

I hope it's not the PG fade to blacks we got for 2 I mean Fable did that slightly better but not by much I liked how they did 2 I suggest they do extended for import sheps whom have LIs who live till that point and they do something classy like ME did and really if BW can't handle any negative comments it should probably not do games anymore.

Ashley's ****** aside there's no reason to throw random porn into the game. The Witcher was not improved in any important way with the inclusion of nudity. I imagine a lot of people are going to disagree with me on that but that's ok. I disagree with them too.

I thought the DA2 sex scenes were fine - admittedly I haven't seen all of them but I preferred them to the DA:O version - random anachronistic (I know that aspect shouldn't bother me but it does) lacy bra and panties from nowhere.

I imagine the rating bump to AO would probably hurt the sales a bit.

I imagine the whole ME1 "I haven't played the game but I know it's corrupting the youth of America" controversy probably helped the game a bit. An AO rating would be disastrous but the Witcher 2 only got an 18/M rating so...

The romance scene itself is. The ****** are not. There were no dialogue options to request ****** or anything along that vein.

People take off clothes to have sex and then you get to see them nude, generally. It's hardly unexpected.

It's like complaining having blood shown when you decide to shoot people in the game is "completely random and i didn't ask for it", too.

My instinct says it will be a combination of elements from ME1's and ME2's romance scenes. In the end, there's no way to know until it's released. This thread likely isn't going anywhere else soon, so might as well add in my 2 cents.

Too blunt nudity tends to distract from the plot - largely I guess because we're not used to it in our entertainment.  It's a shame video games can't do bedsheets, because that's how we tend to get nude characters without actually showing nudity.  ME1 still managed a fairly good job of doing an action movie sex scene, which fit with the game.  DA2 and ME2 were more TV series sex scenes.
