Umm EDI already has a body its called he Normandy why would she downgrade from a warship to a weak frail android body. now I could see a new hologram body for on the ship and jokers room. but outside of that not likely and EDI needs a whole room to house her AI core not likely to be shrunk down to a humanoid body.

Oh my jesus badbadbad
This is absolutely going to tarnish Joker's character. And honestly, **** EDI, she sucked in ME2 and probably will in ME3. This is the opposite of the Jokermance that many people want.

It's not a downgrade.

She's controlling the body remotely while keeping a small part of her code inside the body at the same time. Then she can assist Shepard whenever necessary on the ground. Could be anything from hacking to simple firepower.

Kinda like Cortana in Halo.

Cortana will be hotter though.

I have a question:
Did anyone actually want this?

It totally makes sense for the AI to do this when the option is presented to her. I saw no reason why the AI wouldn't.

I think it could be great or a disaster. Depends on the execution.

Id rather have Leigon than an EDIbot. a geth is more than usefull for hacking and cyberwarfare.

Legion has his own problems to attend to.

I agree. When presented with the opportunity to multi-task and gain an android body to assist Shepard, it makes perfect sense for EDI to take advantage and use the Bot for ground-side missions.

However. I have issues with EDI suddenly using that physical body to put the moves onto organic beings. You can argue with the "emotional" side of it until the cows come home, but at the end of the day, EDI *IS* just a program. Programs cannot feel.

Programs CAN, however, learn.

And Legion, another AI, refused to asnwer one simple question. And no logical (non-emotional) reason for doing so.

I've read the leak and it's a little more complicated then EDI takes over an android and then suddenly wants to the put the moves onto Joker.

Remember whose body she's taking over and that bodies own experiences. ;)

The only way EDI could effectively control the body without any risk to Shepard and the crew is to completely destroy all previous programming on the android.

Which means the only programming remaining would be EDI's.

If this isn't the case EDI's programming on the android would be corrupted and she'd be a risk to everyone's safety.

Am I the only one who appreciates the new EDI? This is one of the most hilarious I've ever heard. It's just so completely ridiculous that I laugh uncontrolably everytime I think about it. Truly awesome Bioware, truly awesome.

My Shepard: Go on, say it.

EDI: I won't.

My Shepard: Do it! C'mon - you've got to.

EDI: NO!

My Shepard: Please?

EDI: *sigh* FINE.... ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL!

My Shepard: *laughs hysterically and then throws a mug at her tin forehead* Hehe - THIS HURTS YOU. I KNOW YOU FEEL THIS.

EDI: *sigh* I want to go back to being the Normandy.

My Shepard: Yeah - instead of a useless sex bot. Now go clean the toilets.

Honestly, Bioware can totally implement a Caprica Six in the series, I won't mind in the least.

As long as she doesn't thwart the potential of Joker as an LI away from honest, hard-working and loyal, Shepards out there, I won't have to take a crowbar to the AI core....Simple as that.

....Carry on EDI....Carry on....:bandit:

If I recall correctly, the programming of the android is wiped but it's memories are not. She's recalling Evas memories with TIM which probably include any feelings that she experienced. Memory isn't tied directly to programming.

...So we risk EDI falling in love with TIM because she didn't wipe the memory core once she got everything valuable from it?

That's smart.

That was hilarious.  You need to do a series of one shot convos between Shepard and Android EDI.

So the android's this chick?  I thought she and Ben were together, but I didn't read Evolution 3...

I'll never get the fascination with android lovers. To each their own. I think the devs saw Cherry 2000 as teens. :D

yeah EDI gets the body of Eva Core the body of TIM's ex girlfriend. Apparently she will be a romance for joker unless Shepard tells "Eva" to not pursue it or you 'crush' jokers fantasy or something then there is a part where Eva can kill the VS where Vega stand up to her and she replies something along the lines of " I would not hurt the crew, Kaidan/Ashley was not part of the crew"

But that's pretty much it in the spoiler section or what I got from it but i am hoping that they scraped this idea since the leaked stuff is pretty old.

Which is imo the worst thing BW could do to EDI!bot.

The VS -was- part of the crew and actually still is. A shore leave for medical care does not remove someone from the crew list, am I right?
It appears as if Shepard is not able to interrupt EDI in that scene, so better not bring her or say good bye to Kaidan or Ashley Fist-style.
