Has Bioware said who are Garrus' and Tali's replacements?

(something that actually has consequences? NO WAI!)
I don't think thats the complaint. The complaint is that Tali and Garrus had just as much a chance of dying as everyone else, but if they both died, it now has major consequences on ME3.

Not really.
You'll be without two squadmates, but that's it.

Admiral Xen fills Tali's role diplomatically, and there is ZERO chance of peace with the geth.
^Highlight above.

Yeah, you won't be able to get the perfect ending on that one, but chances are that people that only managed to get those specific characters killed don't care.
So I don't really care about the outcome of their actions.

Thanks, but I knew that. My question was rhetorical; I was trying to point out that killing her off did have effects beyond who was on your squad.AdmiralCheez wrote...

If you hate them so much, just don't bring them on any missions and don't talk to them. I'm not seeing the problem here.jtav wrote...
What I'd like to know is: do we have to recruit them? I do care about best mission outcome, but I don't want Team Dextro on my squad.

Remember that cool thing in ME2 where you could "accidentally" kill off squadmates? The Suicide Mission, was it?jtav wrote...

Just side with Legion and have Tali do something important, take Garrus with you during the biotic bubble segment with Miri as the biotic (don't take Thane or Jack), and bada bing bada boom deep-fried dextro.

See bolded. I want the war assets they (or any other ME2 squad membe) would bring. I don't want to see them after their plot mission's resolved.

Sadly based on the leaks so far, there won't be squadmate replacements. So you're basically handicapped for wanting more variety in gameplay.
It'll be nice to get a confirmation on this from Bioware, but thats probably going too deep into spoiler territory. And if it does turn out that Tali & Garrus will have squad replacements, BW won't be getting free handjobs from dextro fans anymore, so they probably won't wanna risk that.
Quarians having no chance of winning if Tali isn't alive makes sense to me, however unfortunate it may be. But I'd rather she be there to witness the demise of her species. At least for my renegade playthrough.

Then put up with her and don't take her on any missions.jtav wrote...
I know that, but Tali is required for the best outcome for her mission (as are most ME2 squad members)

It's not hypocrisy; I keep everyone alive in the suicide mission every time. If it had been any other two squadmates returning, I wouldn't expect Bioware to provide replacements for them either. Bottom line: if Shepard screws up in the SM, he/she should have to deal with it. No matter who it is getting killed off.flemm wrote...
