I recently began playing through ME2 again using an import character from ME1 thanks to the recent Mass effect sell on steam. Wonderful game by the way I can see why some feel ME1 is superior to two not sure I agree but I see their side. One thing I've rather enjoyed is the starting 190 paragon points and 60 renegade points. It's done wonders to free my Sheperd up to be a little more ruthless. I don't give the Illusive man a hard time with, “We're not friends.” which always struck me as well whining. Even if you intend to murder someone that doesn't mean you can't be civil. Plus I get to make the bartender on Omega drink his own poison.

So do you all think that there will be something similar in Mass Effect 3 with an imported character starting with a higher paragon and renegades scores then a non import thus letting the player be truer to their own nature without fear of not having enough points?

I would expect a similar import feature to ME2. Maybe a bonus to the readiness level also. That way imports won't have to grind out as many side missions.

I'd hope that the ME3 P/R system will be designed better so that all characters will have that sort of freedom.

Certainly, Bioware recieved plenty of feedback that ME2s system could do with some work.

The paragon/renegade system is pretty important to the series, I'm sure you'll be able to retain some of your points like from ME1 to ME2. 3 more months until we find out! :D

Yep, sure. But who is that Sheperd guy we are talkin' about?
