I don't think he looks scrawny, he looks like someone who is well fit but not overdoing it.

He doesn't look scrawny in the slightest. Bioware made him realistic, and it's not a fault that they didn't bow to the rediculous, monstrous ultra-masculine body type currently dominating the games market.

Also, Jacob and Vega are soldiers, but Shepard is a leader. He doesn't necessarily have the time to develop his body to that degree.

Too bad the character creator in ME doesn't have body type customization.

Then again, I'm really glad it doesn't have boob slider (unless they made current FemShep's size the maximum setting), since I really don't want to see the YouTube videos that would inevitably result in.

No, it wouldn't. FemShep is just fine the way she is. Not every female in a game has to be built like Isabela. <_<

Glad Shep doesn't look like some Jersey Shore meathead. Big muscle is Slooow muscle, takes alot more energy to move a big frame around, I give you Marcus Fenix. The best body type is where he's at, well grown, low BFI, agile, tall, like a NFL quarterback. better to have muscles that are like wrapped steel cord, then a mesomorph.

Besides which, I've always felt agility to be far more important an attribute than pure strength. I don't care that Jacob/Vega are bigger than my Shepard. I rather have an athlete than a bodybuilder anyway.

Yes Shep is big enough. If he had too much muscle mass, he couldn't reach back and grab his weapons. They would be falling outta his grip every other time he switched. As to the fem Shep breast question, all I have to say is small breasted women are MUCH sexier than busomy women. There was a comedian who referenced this, cannot recall who, but it is hilarious!
