Character from a story I wrote.

I used it in the one and only MMO I ever plan to play. I used it in the server forum for the game, so when I signed up here it was the first thing that popped into my mind that I new wouldn't be taken.

Shepenwepet was the name of one of four scarab beetles in the gladiator-themed tactical rpg Gladius, which came out about a decade ago. if you've played it, you've been frustrated with her and her buddies in Insect Ze. But I eventually bested them and took her name because I liked it.

Also, Shepenwepet was an ancient Egyptian princess, which I found out years later. This makes the name slightly less obscure, and occasionally it's taken before I can use it. Boo.

*Sense of deja vu* I think I've explained this in another thread before...

But anyway.

My good friend and I both want to be astronauts, but he wants to be a mission specialist and I want to be a pilot track astronaut. The highest position a mission specialist can get is Mission Specialist 1, or MS1, so I call him "MS1." The highest position pilot astronauts can be are the actual spacecraft commanders, abbreviated in the checklists as "CDR." So, he calls me "CDR." CDR also happens to be the military abbreviation for the rank of commander, and Shepard is a commander, so it seemed appropriate to me.

Skylar Shepard is my main Shepard, thus "SkyShepard."

Yes, yes you probably have. I know there's another one of these around here from the past few months...

Since it's still going on and hasn't been closed, I shall indulge the inquiring mind of this topic.

To understand my name, all you have to do is break it down:

RP = role playing.Shouldn't that be obvious? Well, I mean more than just one who likes playing RPGs. I'm sure you can figure out the rest

Gamer - well, because I condsider myself a gamer. I play video games more than even the average gamer short of being a professional, of which I am not. I've been playing video games my whole life, for as long as I remember, and will continue to do so until death.

13 - Well, this could stem from quite a few things. You'd think maybe because I was the 13th person to register the name, but that is far from the truth and way too coincidental to be the case.

Or maybe you think it's just some random number. Well, that's not the case either.

No, the whole reason for the number 13 is because of quite a few things:

1) I was born September 13, which just so happens to be a Friday

2) I am not a superstitious person and I find it hilarious how superstitious people can get, especially surrounding this number.

3) Being as such, it's my favorite number in existence.

This reminds me so much of the conversation between Marilyn Lovell and Jim Lovell in the Apollo 13 movie:

Jim: We've been moved up to the prime crew of Apollo 13!
Marilyn: That's great, honey! But it's 13...why 13?
Jim: It comes after 12, hon.

But, you can't deny, that with a liftoff time of 1313 CST, an explosion that happened on April 13th, and the fact a 13 foot aluminum panel got blown off the spacecraft - ALL during the Apollo 13 mission - that would make anyone wary of the number 13, especially at NASA. ^_^ Lol.

There are quite a few resons and ideas behind it that are worth explaining. I don't feel inclined to do so, though. :) Actually, I don't remember what exactly prompted it this name- anyways I'm quite it wasn't 100% random.

LOL, its very interesting to see what inspired names.

I have more than one but as for mine on BSN it goes back to a nick name from my D&D days. I had a ranger and the other players dubbed him Trapper. The number... well that is basically random.

Mine is a combination of 1 of my favorite characters from the Steven Brust written Vlad Taltos fantasy series, Morrolan and my first name. Morrolan was taken when I joined up.

*sensing deja vu as well*

ANYWAYS.

Phantom: I love Phantom of the Opera! Since I was 11.
Dragoness: I love dragons. No, really, I do. I have a collection of dragon beanie babies, some dragon legos, dragon posters, dragon books; and I want a dragon tattoo. Too much? XD

In other communities I tend to change uernames when I get bored of the current one. I became Fair Enough because that sounded cool. Others did not really approve, but I don't care.

Mine is the name of my first Shepard to finish ME1. I didn't want to forget which one she was in case I need to know later.

Now I use it, or a variation thereof, everywhere. I used to use Rushka. 'Spose it means all those people I bothered during my MMO playing years will never find me. *evil cackle*

Oh wait...

Character from a story I wrote.

Yep. same with mine. I created a whole universe and lore for mine.
Andarthiel is the name of an elven demigod and he is pretty much the protagonist of the stories I was writing. His father is the Sun god while his step mum is the Lunar goddess so hence then name Demigod of Twilight.

I was really into a game called Magna Carta 2 at the time, and I always played as Rue. She's a little stabbity tank.

Slapped 'Really' on the front as a little joke about how people in real life always think I'm being insincere. I haven't the faintest idea why.

Just my boring online alias, which is a little like my real name. A bit. Possibly.

It doesn't sound a bit like Dave Smeg!

Mine is my name.  Allegedly.  (Actually I did think of changing it to this, but it's a little too silly even for me.  It's my character, the same one I play in every game.  Couldn't think of a better name, so I chose a daft one.)
