^ I'm not surprised about a Cerberus Fleet. If you play ME2 and let everyone die in the end, and you also hand the base to TIM you see Joker do the mission report, followed by TIM swivelling on his chair and putting up a hologram up of the collector base and several huge cerberus vessels coming out of FTL towards it. So... yeah.... most likely Cerberus has been building up it's forces since then.

Since apparently no other Spectre ever does anything, or cares about enemies of the Council building a massive fleet and army.

Good preview, but some of the lines are written as if they came from some cheap 80's action movie - "Take Tolstoy and shove it down your a.." , oh brother..

What are those Narn heavy fighters doing in the first panel?

It delights me to know I'm not the only one who wondered about that.

Really? I feel more bad for Cerberus. I'm not sure they know exactly who their messing with.

So wait...Cerberus has its own cruisers now? And enough troops to take over Omega?

What?

They also went from having only 3 cells (learnt from EDI) at the end of ME2 to having a massive army enough t compose 40% of the enemies in ME3. I think it's safe to say Cerberus has whatever the plot demands.

Ah, but you must keep in mind that even if their army now numbers in the thousands, or even tens of thousands (quite sufficient to be "40% of enemies encountered in gameplay"), that's still very small on a galactic scale. In fact, I would still consider it believable if their numbers rose by an order of magnitude or two. If it's revealed that their numbers are now in the millions or higher however, that's when I would start scratching my head.

This is the same Asari who said the infamous "I am Omega" line.

Seriously.  What the heck are the other Spectres doing during the Mass Effect series?

I'm certain thats a question many of us have asked that will be answered in ME3.

Chillin-out maxxin relaxing all cool and sipping some Tupari outside of the pool when a crew that's named Cerberus was up to no good, starting building fleets around my neighbourhood, they saw just one little opportunity and Omega got scared and said "your moving to your aunty and uncle in Elysium".

/end of comic

What?

Yeah, little confusing, especially for two reasons:
1. It's stated in ME2 that building the SR-2 took up most of Cerberus' resources, or at least a good chunk.
2. People tend to vastly underestimate how expensive and time-consuming it is to have an 'army' and ships. I mean...in the entire Australian Navy fleet, the best warships we will have is three good frigates, with another six (I think) crappy frigates. That's what we can deliver as one of the most advanced industrialised economies in the world.

Having said that, I really hope that the Cerberus armour from ME2 makes a comeback in ME3 being worn by Cerberus badies. Sure the new armour looks hardcore, but variety is always nice.

EDIT: time-consuming, not time-confusing. That'll teach me to post when I'm sick...

Man, that is some seriously lazy art. And the writing isn't much better.

That this sells more than IDW's Dungeons & Dragons is a crime.

Maybe you need a flash or browser update.

Anyway the writing is not the best I've seen and the dialog is Image IPB.

The art is passable for sure. I've seen much worse in comic books. Though six pages and not much is revealed other than Omega has some threat to it and Aria is captured. Seems to be a slow moving plot while the panels imply action, action, action..

I swear, every time I saw those pictures I thought they were Batarians.

I mean, 4 eyes slits? Evil red?

Yes, I know the eye-slits don't match up to Batarins, but they don't match to Humans either.

Artistic freedom. Just wait till you meet a real modern art exhibit.

^So, wait.

Over a year ago you guys complained why Cerberus didn't create an army instead of Lazarus Project, they completely ignored army expense arguments because we're not sure how's economy doing in ME universe, BUT NOW IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO YOU?!

The hell?!

Ok, I don't remember any of this, and having just checked youtube renegade endings, I can't see it. Where the hell are you getting this?

Ah, you're looking for the 8ters to have sense. Please.

And while it is a good question (where the hell have Cerberus got their army), it's not as if this question isn't being taken seriously by the writers. I have not seen the leaks, so all these haters can just go "Ah, you don't have an idea how clueless the script is!" for 3 months without a rebuttal (which is annoying in itself, but manageable), but I do remember seeing some written stuff on this question being pondered by the Alliance. This means that there *is* an answer to the question. And if it isn't a stupid answer, I'm sold.

Well, all I can say is for the fleets, Cord-Hislop Aerospace.

For armies?

I dunno.

We don't even know how long Illusive Man was building his army, real numbers nor where he trained and/or recruited people for army.

Still requires utter incompetence on the part of all non-cerberus organisations for them not to notice

TIM sends a fleet of ships, and takes the base for himself.
