- lots of dialogue and banter, squadmates interacting with each other
- My female Shepards can at least tell Miranda, Ashley, Jack and Aria how they feel about them and maybe even start a romance
- the chance to have all my favourite people alive at the end of the same playthrough
- a glimpse at Shepard's future
- more reliable biotic charge
- more outfits for squadmates

The system doesn't really function that much differently from Mass Effect to Mass Effect 2.crimzontearz wrote...
uhhh....yeah cosanostra. The "blue/red" options are called persuasion and intimidate. They are a bad mechanic only because they were turned from a skill to a "reputation" meter

Funny, I remember being able to put POINTS into skills called Persuasion and Intimaidate.jreezy wrote...

Also, I've been fearful that not being completely Paragon or Renegade (saving the Council but keeping the base, that kind of thing) will result in dire consequences. Hopefully I won't get punished for trying to make my own choices.

I said THAT much different. The points being allocated automatically is the one difference I can think of.Mr.House wrote...

in ME1 I could put points at leisure in Charm/Intimidate and use them as I pleased, Those skills determined if I could pass certain checks regardless of my moral alignment. In ME2 my Renegade/Paragon meters determine the extent of Shepard's dialectic skills against a total percentage to the point that, in order to pass the hardest checks you HAVE to play either full paragon or full renegade
yes, totally identical

Your moral alignment determined how many points you could allocate into which skill so...not that much different. Also, I never called it identical. You sarcastically did though.crimzontearz wrote...

Also some good old tough choices: save many or save LI , side with one race instead of the other like the templar-mage in origins (could have quarians or geth) which changes the type of forces you have and outcome of the final battle.

-Different endings depending on choices. So super happy ever after Shepard marrying LI to total and utter destruction of the Galaxy

- A conclusion to all the characters. I want to talk to all the people I've met throughout the series! All of them!
- Bigger sense of scale like in ME1.
- THE ORIGINAL GALAXY MAP MUSIC FOR THE GALAXY MAP!!!!! Do NOT change that one, Bioware!!

-a satisfying (but not overly explanatory) conclusion of the Reaper backstory
-retain ME2's combat engine, with more emphasis on power usage.
-heavy/difficult choices.
-no exploration.

Care to explain why you don't want exploration in a self-proclaimed action RPG?
