Hello to all-
After having spent most of the year playing SoZ or DAO (or actually working), I decided to do some more hackpak work. Specifically, I'm in the process of porting my Spell Pack from NWN to NWN2.
I'm used to the hak file system used in NWN for hackpaks, and I could plan on making such a version for NWN2 if necessary. However, I've grown accustomed to the override system favored in NWN2. My Extra Invocation pak is an override pak, and I had intended to add the spells from my NWN pack to that one. Alas, I've run into an issue which might prevent players from gaining full enjoyment of my efforts. Whiel my spells work as intended (more or less), and I've successfully tested the spells to confirm that potions, scrolls and wands can be made appropriately, I've run into an oddity where the scrolls are concerned.
Creating the scrolls isn't the issue- though I must admit that I had some trouble there as well. When creating the blueprints for my scrolls, I could not find any of my spell descriptions in my version of dialog.tlk, nor could I access the spells in the "item properties" section. After scanning these forums, I came upon a solution: it appears that while the game can read dialog.tlk in one's My Documents folder, the toolset only reads the file in the NWN2 directory. After carefully making and safeguarding a copy of the original dialog file, I copied my own version of dialog to the NWN2 folder, then went to town creating my needed scrolls. I then replaced my dialog with the NWN2 original, and I was all set... or so I thought.
Here's the oddity: while item creation with my scrolls works fine, and I can place the scrolls as inventory in a container... I cannot get them to appear as merchandise in a NWN2 store. I tried this with Vordan's Hero Creator; while the other scrolls in my chosen store appear just fine, the scrolls for my new spells do not.
Aside from insight as to what might be the problem, I'm curious to hear whether anyone considers this to be sufficiently problematic to withhold release of the new spell pack. While my work on this project is coming relatively late in the life of NWN2, I have done a bit of research on spell packs in NWN2. Two of the more popular ones- Kaedrin's mammoth PRCPack and Joshua Kalis' Mage Tome- don't use scrolls at all, as far as I can tell. Is this perhaps the norm for override hackpaks in NWN2?
Any suggestions, opinions, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Er... never mind. I discovered my problem: I'm not overly familiar with module building. As such, I didn't realize that just saving the module doesn't also save the store's new inventory; that's why they weren't showing up in my test version of Vordan's Hero Creator.
I gather that the "overwrite" option in the toolset will save the updated inventory list to all occurences of a modified store- though I actually just cut out the old store and pasted the new one, in a new testing module. As such, I have now verified that my new scrolls are working just fine now.
And the crafting continues...
