Yeah, I loathe to revive squadmates as well. Doesn't matter what class I play. I mean, I like having them around doing stuff and all, but unless they get KO'd at the start of a really important/long fight, I usually try to make due without them.

But I understand how playing solo can be a bit of a PITA sometimes b/c of how the AI always knows where you are in this game. Sometimes an otherwise brilliant tactical coup can become a slogging attrition fight, just because of a minor hiccup in gameplay.

You can also cheat and backtrack far enough from enemies that they revive and teleport next to you.

If you Stasis the last enemy, example a Heavy mech, they revive as well.

That's another self-imposed challenge of mine, I like playing the classes vanilla (no bonus power usage).

I just finished the SM with my sentinel, and because of this thread I decided to record the bubble fight using the Avalanche, took about 30 shots to kill all the husks and scion. It will be available in a few hours. To my surprise the squad will not target the Terminator in the last fight ( with powers ), so I was unable to use the squad reset feature to take that thing out. The Avalanche did almost nothing to it, and so I had to try to take it out with pistol and shotgun. and I finally died, then reloaded with Cain.

If you don't use heavy weapon on the reaper, and don't have claymore or widow it takes forever to bring the terminator down ( insanity ). Just saying...

Yeah tell me about it. Last I played the SM was with a Sentinel, and I decided to use the Collector Particle Beam- too slow, and the Termie moves around enough to make it sorta inaccurate. By the end of the fight, Harbinger and Collectors were basically landing right on top of me, Jacob and Jack. That was a fun fight. The Viper is the next best weapon to take along to that fight imo. Decent bonus against armour, rapid enough fire, high ammo capacity- does the job.

Nonsense! Use a shotgun!

In all seriousness though, the Viper and the Widow are two of the best vanilla weapons for taking out Arnie

:D  In my post I had your and RedCaesar97's shotgun videos in mind when I mentioned the Claymore.

Edit: Link here is where the avalanche starts.

That looks like fun. I haven't played a Claymore Soldier yet.

Revenant soldier also does a fantastic job.

Yeah i don't remember if it was my Sentinel or Adept but I had the Arc Projector as my heavy weapon and and forgot to change it out before the last bit of the SM.  That sort of sucked.

Honestly it did seem a lot easier to kill it as Soldier or Infiltrator to me.  I think that has to do with your weapons and damage output modifiers as well as how useless powers are against it.

I'm a grenade launcher man myself. I find its a nice all-purpose weapon for insta-kills, heavy damage and crowd control. I don't use heavy weapons often but I had to use it in my last Adept playthrough during the Overlord final battle. I had a level 9 Adept with crappy weapons and weak biotics. I had to pull out the launcher to quickly destroy those data nodules before I was overrun by the spawning Geth.

I usually don't revive my squadmates either unless I'm playing a low-leveled character who doesn't have the proper offensive force against the enemy. The platforms on the Collector ship is one area where I usually have to revive my squad. But later in the game when I'm levelled up, I really don't need them. I'll often place them out of the field of battle so I can handle the entire fight myself.

i usually take the arc projector with me because it doesn't look like some bulky log hanging on your back . Firestorm is also discreet.
sheer vanity.

I like the grenade launcher too. Though it's bloody useless against the human reaper.
