Shanghai - Not only is it a significant place in the MEverse, but its insanely overpopulated mazes of buildings would be a great place to fight the Reapers (although I'm sure it won't be so crowded after a Reaper invasion).
Tokyo - Just think how awesome this place will look in the 2180s.
Geneva - Been through it and it is, at times, breathtaking. If we could squeeze in the Alps as well that'd be awesome.
Somewhere In Brazil - An exotic South American location would be fantastic.

It would creep me out beyond imagining if they had my actual house in the game.Hah Yes Reapers wrote...

It reminds me of an old PC game magazine that I used to have, which had a screenshot of Wing Commander 3 with the caption "those are your actual knees; they crept into your room and digitized them as you slept".

OP, allow me to say this nicely. F*** NEW YORK. I'm sick to death of every single game having New York in it. Not to mention movies. It would be brilliant to show cities around the world aside from New York. And for those of you coming to rush in to the defence of NYC, chill out. Sometimes people get sick of the same old air biscuits when it comes to NYC appearing in everything.
London, Sydney, perhaps somewhere in Russia or the Far-East. Varied locations would be nice. Yep yep.
And yet strangely this Brit feels the same way about London. There is more to the UK than London, effing London. Show us Edinburgh, Swansea, Hull, anywhere but Lunnon taaaaaaaaaan.
I echo these sentiments. Except I'd rather not see the UK at all... Tall cities in the far or south-east of Asia though? Hells to the yes. Singapore, Kuala-Lumpur, Hong-Kong, Tokyo, Shanghai...
Singapore in particular since it has significance in Earth's history in the ME universe. From the Mass Effect Wiki (see 2151CE):
"An accident at Singapore International Spaceport exposes hundreds of humans to dust-form element zero. Roughly 30% of the children born in Singapore after element zero exposure suffer from cancerous growths. After his mother is exposed during the accident, Kaidan Alenko is born later that year with biotic potential."

Also no more LONDON! I live in London but too many games/movie have it, theres more to England than London, London and London.

The Bavarian Alps. Should be fairly self-explanatory.
As previously mentioned, Singapore would be great. So would pretty much anywhere in Jiangnan (Nanjing, Shanghai, Hangzhou).
Somewhere in Central Asia would be pretty cool. Not the steppe parts - those might get a little boring - but the mountain areas or the Fergana Valley would give a nice vibe, about midway between the desolate alien landscapes in ME1 exploration and properly habitated areas.
Definitely Cape Town (epic fight to secure Table Mountain!) or somewhere along the Drakensberg Mountains.
Anywhere in Brazil that isn't freaking Rio de Janeiro.

I like this thought a lot. Psychological Warfare.
had it in there but took it out, i'd really like to see it after shep takes out some sort of reaper attack squad that's out in the galaxy trying to take out illium or something, in response harby sends a transmission that shep sees trying to break his (or her) spirit
