Hello there fellow forumites,

since I am completely reworking my DAII composition in terms of mods etc., I wanted to modify some of those more to my liking. Particularily, since I am about to use the "Rune Expansion Pack", that means adding runeslots to a few pieces of gear that don't have already.

The problem is, I am a completely duckshot with modding DA ...

No to the problem, I already downloaded TlkEdit and looked up the item properties (thanks @ people uploading that stuff), but so far I am lost.

Now, what I already tried to at least show the level of incompetence you are facing with, here's a picture of what came to my mind of what might work:

Now, I have no clue whether I scored a lucky hit with my guess, but either way I'd like to know. If I was wrong, please do me the favor and tell me how to do it (pweeeeeaase).

Thanks in advance

Yes, that will add three rune slots to the staff.

One thing to be aware of: if you've already got the staff in question in-game, this adjustment won't take effect. Once you pick up an item, most of its stats are stored in your savegame instead of referenced from the base game.

If you're already carrying the starter staff, you can either spawn a new copy with the Vaddi mod or start a new game to get your modified staff.

Yay, lucky hit! (I would have thought there is more to that than simply adding the struct list ...)

And I will be starting completely new games, so I won't be running into that particular issue.

Thanks

Well, I do recommend paying attention to the numbering on the struct list. It doesn't matter so much for weapon properties AFAICT (though it's good practice to iterate from 0 to n-1 where n=#of properties anyway), but if you get into things like changing store or character inventories, the Struct number there starts carrying information the game actually uses (which item slot to stick things in for instance).

Anyway, happy to help. :)

I just put the Rune slot string as last position, that way I don't mix up any positions and possible references to those.
