She's only angry because she cares and is worried about you. It would be worse if she just reacted like "oh hai."
Sadly, that's pretty much the way Shepard reacts to her (more reason to be angered).
Are you kidding me? She's only angry because she cares? Let me get this right, Ashley only called Shepard a traitor to his face, and said he betrayed the Council, Anderson, and her because she was so very deeply in love with him? I suppose it was also her depth of feeling for Shepard that prompted her to call his intelligence into question by suggesting that he was too stupid to realize that he was a puppet on Cerberus' strings as well.
And that she was so enamored of him that she just had to act like it was his obligation to save her ass on Horizon for the third time as she stepped over the piles of Collector corpses in order to even get to him so that she could blame him for the carnage. And if that isn't enough, you go even further and say that because Shepard didn't take all of this in stride, because it was only too obvious that she was only pissed at him because she cared so deeply for him that she, quite understandably, got even more pissed.
This isn't some lover's spat about how to hang the roll of toilet paper or putting the toilet seat down. She calls Shepard a traitor to his face. She's an NCO, she has time in grade, she was his subordinate, she comes from a military family, she knows exactly what that word means and she uses it
without hesitation on Shepard and
with venom. How do you construe that with love and caring?
Williams didn't act like she loved/cared for Shepard because if she did then she really is psychotic. Horizon made no sense
at all. It only happened because either the writers fouled up or there's another shoe that is waiting to drop. You can say that Ash went psycho because she cared, but sending a man on a suicide mission without even so much as a "by your leave" and calling him a traitor to his face with venom doesn't spell love for me. It spells disrespect, vitriol, anger, and even hatred to a degree.
And while it could be said that Williams didn't know that Shepard was likely going to die on his mission, she didn't even bother to ask about it either because she was overwhelmed with love and concern. Hell, she never even bothered to ask about the first time he died or about the two years he spent in surgery either. If she really cared, I would think that maybe she would be a little curious. Maybe it would explain
why he didn't contact her. Anesthesia and death tends to force you to keep folks out of the loop. But Ashley cares for Shepard so
much that she doesn't care about the tiny details of the traitor's suffering. I mean, the sissy probably grimaced and grabbed his side when he got of the table right? What a baby.
Nope, her heart is so full of care and compassion that she cuts Shepard loose after less than 3 and one half minutes after not seeing
the man she claims to have loved for over two years and thought dead all the while she is still brimming with love, compassion, care, and concern for him. But of course this is all Shepard's fault. I mean, he's the rat bastard that never called her despite being dead or on an operating table.
Inconsiderate that, he really should have shown her just how much he loved her back by calling her a b!tch.
