Only classless assh0les, or truly disgusting people think to hit a woman.

I would amend that to "think to hit someone clearly physically outclassed by you," which... well, would apply to most of the people Shepard hits regardless of gender.

I once held that view Aurora313, hitting a woman was something I was taught to never do, it was morally wrong in my house growing up.  When I began taking Tae Kwon Do, I was taught by a woman.  I was the best fighter in my class outside of the instructors, so when sparring became a regular thing, I was made to spar with her more often than not.  Though I was nearly twice her weight at that time, she pressed her attacks, quite emphatically, until I countered.  From that point on, I adopted Xilizhra's view (which was 20 years ago now), and I don't hit anyone I know I can severly outclass in a physical contest.

It is sometimes confusing with women, especially since my old teacher could probably still put me in an excellent joint lock and immobilize me, though she will be the first to tell you that she will be in trouble when I get out (if the situation was real).

Therefore I would never strike a woman out of anger, but if one was attacking me I would certainly give her the attention she demands.

Agreed 100%. I actually avoid fighting as much as I can. It normally doesnt solve anything. I use these hands when there is no other option. Sometimes I do feel the urge to hit *certain types of people* in the neck but I feel its not worth it.

@DiebytheSword

I 150% agree with you, most of the time you should only attack some one to defend yourself, not becuase of a pity vendetta (sp) or rage

slap her? no... cold shoulder? yeah, thats acceptable.  Do i blame ash or kaidan for horizon? nope, nor do i blame shep.  I blame the writers who wrote the lame responses we could chose for shep.  I so wish i had a desk near my 360 so i could *headdesk* all the time i finish the horizon mission.  I think Garrus would have words for the VS too (if he was with you on that mission).  But yeah i wouldnt slap ash, i'd probably give the cold shoulder a time or two, then proceed with a discussion with the caveat that both sides will get their chance to talk uninterrupted by the other.

And really cold shoulder is far far more effective than slapping someone.

Only person in ME who should be slapped is TIM and that's only because it'd be more insulting than punching him.

Okay so no slap, but cold shoulder or argument? Better than my lame idea.

Thinking back to my feelings over Horizon, I was angry, shocked, confused, but I never wanted to slap/strike her. I just want an explanation from her or I want her off of my ship.

Sadly, that's pretty much the way Shepard reacts to her (more reason to be angered).

To be fair from her perspective Shepards been gone two years, from Shepards its been a few weeks.

To be fair, Shepard learned that as well. Sure, for him he was away for just a few weeks. But since he knew Ash had to go through two years with knowing him being dead, he could have been a bit more ... sensitive.

That is something I accept.
I don't accept that my paragon Shepard is that insensitive as well.

Seriously ... this human does not understand.

Are you kidding me? She's only angry because she cares? Let me get this right, Ashley only called Shepard a traitor to his face, and said he betrayed the Council, Anderson, and her because she was so very deeply in love with him? I suppose it was also her depth of feeling for Shepard that prompted her to call his intelligence into question by suggesting that he was too stupid to realize that he was a puppet on Cerberus' strings as well.

And that she was so enamored of him that she just had to act like it was his obligation to save her ass on Horizon for the third time as she stepped over the piles of Collector corpses in order to even get to him so that she could blame him for the carnage. And if that isn't enough, you go even further and say that because Shepard didn't take all of this in stride, because it was only too obvious that she was only pissed at him because she cared so deeply for him that she, quite understandably,  got even more pissed.

This isn't some lover's spat about how to hang the roll of toilet paper or putting the toilet seat down. She calls Shepard a traitor to his face. She's an NCO, she has time in grade, she was his subordinate, she comes from a military family, she knows exactly what that word means and she uses it without hesitation on Shepard and with venom. How do you construe that with love and caring?

Williams didn't act like she loved/cared for Shepard because if she did then she really is psychotic. Horizon made no sense at all. It only happened because either the writers fouled up or there's another shoe that is waiting to drop. You can say that Ash went psycho because she cared, but sending a man on a suicide mission without even so much as a "by your leave" and calling him a traitor to his face with venom doesn't spell love for me. It spells disrespect, vitriol, anger, and even hatred to a degree.

And while it could be said that Williams didn't know that Shepard was likely going to die on his mission, she didn't even bother to ask about it either because she was overwhelmed with love and concern. Hell, she never even bothered to ask about the first time he died or about the two years he spent in surgery either. If she really cared, I would think that maybe she would be a little curious. Maybe it would explain why he didn't contact her. Anesthesia and death tends to force you to keep folks out of the loop. But Ashley cares for Shepard so much that she doesn't care about the tiny details of the traitor's suffering. I mean, the sissy probably grimaced and grabbed his side when he got of the table right? What a baby.

Nope, her heart is so full of care and compassion that she cuts Shepard loose after less than 3 and one half minutes after not seeing the man she claims to have loved for over two years and thought dead all the while she is still brimming with love, compassion, care, and concern for him. But of course this is all Shepard's fault. I mean, he's the rat bastard that never called her despite being dead or on an operating table.

Inconsiderate that, he really should have shown her just how much he loved her back by calling her a b!tch.

I don't hate Ashley, but what WILL make me angry with her is if there's too much distrust between her and Shepard come Mass Effect 3. Reapers are attacking, dear, there isn't time for whinging about Cerberus (which my Shepard gave the middle finger to at the end of Mass Effect 2, anyway).
