Well, I was dead for 2 years. I was only just brought back to life. Cerberus did it. I don't agree with their means or motiviation, but they're helping me with this mission of vital importance. We have to stop the Collectors, they're abducting entire colonies filled with--

I certainly hope Ashely's lack of gratitude for saving her life, insults, uninterest in his existence and lack of concern for Shepards' wellfare in the hands of Cerberus isn't brushed aside in ME3. The saving grace was really how stupid she acted on Horizon, Sent to investigate Cerberus involvement yet can't spend more then 3 minutes talking to them when given the opportunity. You really can't take her seriously.

I'm not saying I am not biased, but if you reduce Ashley to the non-romanced variant, then you -might- be right. But that's more a fault of BW - they missed to include a friendship arc where you can paragonize Ash & shift her view of aliens a bit.

But in case you romanced Ash, that ranting guy was totally wrong about her character.


So ... lets put it this way: BW messed things up characterwise. I bet they would do differently if they could reboot the series. And yes, I'm talking about including friendships too.

I figured that out already. I'd like to do that too with f!Shep if possible in ME3.
Somehow I don't think Ash will suddenly become bi

As long as you can find a way to convince that squadmate it's better to work together and not against, I don't see a point why kicking that particular squadmate off the roster. I mean, everyone has an opinion - and Shepard wouldn't be a good leader if s/he doesn't take time to listen to his/her crew.

That's why - it doesn't matter for me if I have a romanced Ash or not, or same for Kaidan: if the VS comes back, I'll welcome him or her.

Hmm ... lemme check:
1st time rescue: she got overwhelmed by Geth. Lost her whole squad but somehow managed to fall back to a position where she could hold herself until reinforcements were arriving.
Oh and before someone puts that "ambush-flashlight-heads"-argument on the table: it looks as if several dropships send several units of Geth into action. That's also an ambush: no hiding involved. If you get surrounded by superior forces within 30 seconds, you'll be glad if you make it out alive.

2nd time rescue: Virmire
Dito. Overwhelmed again. Okay, I really wonder why Ash can't hold her own with the STG team at the tower but ... at the bombside she did a good job: one against many Geth ...

3rd time rescue: Horizon
Okay. She got put in stase. Everyone got put in stase. I'm pretty sure, without Mordin even Shepard wouldn't go through that mission - s/he'd end put in stase.
So that one doesn't really count.

Besides that: ME3!Ashley -is- one of the best soldiers of the Alliance. In ME1 she was just a normal grunt but still able to hold her own against Geth after being ambushed and stripped of her entire squad.

All Shepard should do is give her a great big hug and apologize. Or, you know, the other way works too.

The way I see it both actions are justified and if it were me, I would've apologized and want to try and make it up to Ashley.
