Wait, either I'm lost in translation or I simply don't get it ... which one are haters now in that line ^^
VS-haters or VS-hater-haters?

I just don't understand why people -hate- the VS. I mean, if someone dislikes Ash, leave her on Virmire and done. Never talk about her again. If you don't like Kaidan, leave him.
One of the funniest (or strangest) statements I ever read was something like that:

"I didn't virmire [put name here] because that way I can make him/her suffer - and I hope I can put a bullet in him/his head."

Seriously ... I hope some guys never get hands on a real weapon. <_<

Eh if you dislike both though you're kind of stuck. I really don't care if he/she suffers I just don't want them on the crew. A GTFOMS option would be perfect for me. Plus that way they still remain a valuable resource to the war.

Without giving anything away, I think that option is available in ME3.
Getting rid of the VS without killing him or her.

The thing is: if you ditch the VS, you won't have an option to fill that empty spot with another squadmate. So you won't gain anything for removing the VS. I'd like to see a solution like for Samara/Morinth - if you don't like Samara, go for her daughter. Sometimes I really miss the feature of a real decision regarding picking your squadmates in the roster. Actually, I wish ME3 would have this solution:

- 4 permanent squadmates
- 4 free to pick & changeable squadmates (semi-permanent - as long as you don't kick them off the roster, they'll stay with you).

So if you ditch the VS you can pick Miranda or Mordin or someone else.

Before anyone argues any further on whether she was concerned or not, go on the wiki site for Ashley Williams there is a link to Ashley's voice actor of her reading the apology letter. Short answer, she really missed you and hated herself for what she said.

ingratitude? You ahve to ORDER them off the ship when the Normandy is going down. They wanted to stay with you to the bitter end but YOU told them to go. You died alone because YOU ordered them off the ship. Then you want them to work with the terrorists that brought you back to life after they've moved on and have lives of their own? You must be one selfish ass person to want to derail another person's life like that. They have military obligations to fulfill and sice they're the new face of the alliance, working on a cerberus vessel would be TREASON. so yes, being mad that one of your friends won't commit treason for you qualifies you as a "hater".Image IPB

^Her reaction was normal, as well, yet people hate her for being human, yet its okay for Shepard to be Human in LOTSB due to he/she is "so awesome", If I where in her postion I would react in a very similar way, Shepard saying "how you doing" to Ashley is really pathetic, since she had trouble coming to term's with Shepard's death for a whole year. And the whole coming back from the dead thing is really hard to beileve

Excuse me, but at what point in game Shepard says to anyone outside of Cerberus he/she died?

hmm...that's interesting. I started trying to remember all the conversations----and I don't think once Shepard says anything about having been dead.

Jacob told Shepard straight out that Shepard was "dead as dead can be". Yet when Shepard goes into it w/ The VS on Horizon, all Shep says is something about how s/he was in "some kinda coma" ?

Uh, Shepard, noooo. You were dead.

Everyone else the matter is not addressed, or glossed over.

It's interesting cuz Shepard knows s/he was dead. Yet, "some kinda coma"? What, is Shep in denial? Or, embarrased to say it out loud to VS?

^Shepard can say she has been dead for two year's to the VS even then I understand why the VS finds it hard to believe, has anyone meet a person who walk's up to them and say's I have been dead for "X number of year's", if that happened to me, I wouldn't believe them even if they where telling the truth

yeah, I'm not saying that would change the VS reaction. I was just curious as to Shep.s state of mind when seeing the VS again for the first/and last time. And why they would choose to say a coma.

I think saying a coma would be far easier to believe than the whole I've been dead. Which may be why Shepard said it like that. Or, Shepard is also having a difficult time coming terms with it.

Something to think about.

Personally, I feel sorry for both the VS and Shepard. What an awful situation for them both. I don't blame the VS for their reaction, but I also don't blame Shepard for the infamous, "how ya doin'" line.

Idk wat else the heck Shepard was supposed to say. Shepard may have wanted to run up to the VS; grab them; hold them; love them and say, "My, darling. My, darling. I've been looking all over the place for you. But no one would tell me where you were..."

It's been 2 years. Shepard was thought to be dead. There's a very good chance the VS would not have...felt comfortable/welcomed that kind of greeting? Shepard was definitely testing the waters. Trying to see where the VS was at with all this.

I don't understand this whole Team VS, or Team Shepard stuff. I feel for them both.

Shepard says "I hope so, I died." to Joker at the begining of the game. (First talk on the Normandy, non-critical, and can be skipped).

Joker had said something about things being better this time, hence Shepard's comment. Joker responds wih "You're such a downer."

You can blame the person who wrote the whole sceen, the responces to the VS are terrible, "I missed you too" would have been better than, "how is it going"

Ah, yeah..I remember that lol.

So tell me...does Shepard ever tell the VS outright in the various dialogues paths that s/he died? I remember coma part, and Cerberus rebuilt me".

I hardly see any significant difference in being "dead" for two years vs. being "in a coma". It pretty much amounts to the same thing.

@Drone223 at that point the VS didn't actually say they missed you. (obviously they did, but still..) They said something to the effect of your in the presence of a legend and a ghost. They hug you. Then Shepard says it's been a long time. How have you been?

The writing aside, I can still imagine Shepard was testing the waters. Shep didn't know where they stood anymore w/the VS.

The how ya doing part was clearly an invitation for VS to let Shep know whats been going on. The VS coulda responded w/ "it's been difficult since you've been gone. But I've moved on. I'm married now. We're expecting our first child.."

Anything could have happened in that time lapse.

Was it perfect? No. And I'm not gonna blame the writing. Ppl in real life talk stupid to each other, especially in emotionally charged situations. They say things they should not have, or don't say stuff they should have.

Here you got ppl want to slap or kill the VS. Or call Shepard a moron herp-derp. Like they've never acted stupid to the ones they love the most.

Eh I don't mind that much. consequences after all. If I get rid of all the crew my Shep should have to save the galaxy on his own. And have a blast doing such. ^_^

It's freakier saying you were brought back from the dead, as opposed to brought out of a coma.
