The cover system looks DX:HRish. Nice.

After playing that game several times, whenever I got back to ME2 I'm like "Why can I not roll and turn corners!!!?" Tis exasperating.

The cover system of DH:HR looks familarish to many games.

EDIT: Though few does it as well as DX:HR.

Alright let me correct myself: The entire idea is stupid, same with the flashlight.

And there is also something called 'creativity'

Yeah, being creative =/= being good.

Besides, you haven't even seen half of the weapon mods yet.

The Avenger 'flashlight' functionally makes sense and it looks good. Sorry you don't like it.

No, but nothing stops me from making up my mind about the creative state of the developers this far in the devolopment process.

Nope, In universe it is outdated, impractical and unreliable. and from a development perspective, it's lazy and uncreative

Oh, alright.

What's so important about making something as simple as a barrel extension look radical in design? It's a barrel extension. Are you honestly trying to tell me that they're just going to discontinue such modifications to moderns weapons just because they don't look cool enough or aren't innovative enough?

Because that would be pretty stupid if they've been proven to be efficient.

By the way, how come the omni-tool can get away with a flashlight but the guns can't? If they have more functions, the better they are. Plus, you don't have to mess around with nightvision goggles while you're in vacuum and have a breather helmet on.

Smear that "it's uncreative" crap on someone else's face.

Why? Maybe you can change my mind. But saying something sucks because it "sucks" is your opinion.

Oh and one more thing: Kristine was the best Bioware Pluse host so far. Nice, clean announcements and really cute, if I might say so.

The name seemed familiar to me for some reason. Then I remember it turns out she reviewed Dragon Age 2 for IGN.  I guess she's just working for BioWare now as "assistant dev manager"?

And if you actually understood my post you would have know that i was talking about the (Lack of) Creativity of Writer and desginers,

Yes, right only if they have...

I never said they can't, i just said it is impractical as gives your locatian easily away to enemies, only provides light in a very specific angle. (useally making it worse to see everything around it)

And here i tought build in Goggles would have to be pretty standard for Spec'ops.

Ohh how did I not know Kristine Steimer works for BioWare now? Nice, I always liked her stuff on IGN.

Thanks for these Corey and Eric, it's the sort of thing I wish we got as a making of included with games. The development process isn't given nearly enough spotlight.

I take it you never played Doom 3 and realise how in the future no guns have flashlights... which was a terrible idea. I'll would rather have a weapon with a flashlight than not have one.

Obvious solution is obvious. Turn the damn thing off if you think there are enemies nearby. You have only yourself to blame if you light them up first. And with a heads-up display that highlights enemies and other objects, I don't think that'll be a problem.

The standard helmet Shepard is using is hardly spec-ops equipment.

In a universe where much of the technology is simply based on projections of current tech, it's not that out of place. So what. The addition adds atmosphere better than the now-cliche green screen symbolizing night vision and less annoying than rainbowvision from thermals. The usefulness of temporary blinding an opponent by flooding their vision with directional high intensity light in several orders of magnitude greater than the environment to which their eyes are adjusted will theoretically always have a place. It is more discriminate than a flashbang and also more suited to repeated applications (batteries vs. grenades).

I only seem to notice this now, whenever shep does a heavy melee
attack the equipped gun disappears then reappears.

I noticed this as well. I'm hoping they fix it in a way that either Shepard uses the melee attack from his off-hand, or grabs his current weapon into the off-hand and melee strikes with his main.

That guy in the video... Eric I think?... He looks like he's gone about 2 weeks without any sleep. Hopefully he gets a break.
