Perhaps it will be a wake-up call then after this debacle that will make Japan realize that it needs to pick up better lessons from its South Korean and European peers in how to integrate into the growing Anglophone market.

Well, that was....unimpressive.
I agree.
First of all I wouldn't really call what we saw at the VGA's a trailer, its more along the lines of a teaser or quick peak at some gameplay from 1 particular mission. Second, I'm sure most of us who follow ME3 on the web already knew about the scene with the Reaper and the Thesher Maw so it's not like Bioware have given us anything new. Granted this is our first time seeing it with our own eyes instead of reading about it but I was till expecting somthing 'new'.

I hope some people can realize that the community asked for for the silence and lack of new information after the spoiler-fest that was ME2's marketing campaign.
i never asked for this.
Neither did I.

Is it me, or the transitions between animations are really bad? I mean the animations itself are great but if you look at the moment when shepard is hiding behind the small wall when crouching and than turns 90 degrees to hide behind another, there is no transition at all. He just appears on the other wall. I hope this problem only appears because it's beta gameplay. Also the animation of falling down (the first one, before shepard meets little boy) on Earth gameplay from E3 was bad and unnatural, and the bad transition problem appeared there as well. Anyone agree with me?
Watch the pulse vid, they specifically showed off a 'turn a corner in cover' move that was smooth.

That VGA trainwreck moment with Kojima made me cringe. It's a pity the Japanese system has such poor (or lack of) English education that Miyamoto and later the guy who got stuck in his speech could barely struggle with a mini speech in English.

Miyamoto's problem was mostly the very, very heavy Japanese accent. Kojima has historically bene pretty bad with English; it's not really the norm in my experience.
He's made some improvements in the past couple of years, believe it or not.

New Metal gear looks cool, Platinum Games will do good work.
Unimpressed with the ME3 trailer though. I expected something new, not something that has been long confirmed by screen shots and articles. I wanted something new and fresh, but Vega screaming "Holy Sh!t" put him on my permanent squaddie list, which will make it Garrus/Vega the entire game.

Shouldn't be long now before the next Pulse.
Isn't that shown on Thursdays, though?

That animation only works if the wall is in 90º to his back, if the wall is 90º to his front, he just appears there. Potax1 is right.
