I've met Isabella in HIghtown night and killed the mobs to get the letter. But now it won't let me access the chantry. It's the last quest I have to do before heading off to the deep roads and I was hoping someone could tell me what to do.

I've gotten that bug before.
I believe you have to reload a save prior to heading into Hightown to start the quest.

There is a known bug that occurs if you pick up the letter before Isabela tells you to.

caradoc,that has happened to me. You have to wait for Isabella to tell you to search the bodies before doing so.

Thanks. I searched for Fools rush in here after I posted this topic and found the same answer. Luckily I had a quick save not very long before the quest so I've done it. I guess that will teach me to search the forums before making a post.

I have a similar problem with the same quest. My problem though is after killing the mob it wouldn't let me search and of the dead guys so there was nothing for me to loot and then the bodies disappeared. I unfortunately don't have another save file from before this mission. Is there anything I can do?
