I downloaded the MDB manipulation tool, unzipped, and tried to run the application, but it opens, then closes again immediatley.  I am running Vista 32.  I've tried running as Admin and running as admin in XP SP2 compatibility mode to no avail.  Any suggestions other than getting a better OS?

Oh wait... do you have to run the application from the command line? It seems to work from there.

...nope. Still no luck. Can't really get it going. It doesn't help that I've never used a command line tool before. I really can't tell if it is working or not since it won't seem to open up.

You'd be better off writing batch files (a text file containing the relevant DOS commands with a .BAT extension) and running it that way. There should be examples of the command switches in the text file that comes with the application.

I think my run went something like: mdbtool plc_bc_curb008.mdb /rotatey=180

mdbtool plc_bc_curb008.mdb /rotatey=180

ASK JakkelDragon he did it on his first try more or less i think

all on one entry line before entering

Thanks for the responses Dann and Morbane. I'm going to mess around with it some more.

Do you have to specify which folder the files being modified are in? Do they have to be in the same folder as the application?

It worked! Thanks for the help. I had to put the .mdb file that I was modifying in the same folder as the application. When I did, I just did the same command line that morbane posted, except with /rotatex=180 and the filename for the file I was using.

Thanks for the help.

Note: A .bat file may have been quicker because I could have cut and pasted the filename, except that I've never made one before.
