Wearing nothing but a rose in the mouth...
Any guesses on future companions?

Leaving out any retuning companions, I think Cassandra and Cullen are strong possibilities for future companions. Many others seem to think the same.
On another note, I would love, LOVE to see Oghren back.

Possibly Anders. What? You killed him? You should have known better and have done what Bioware wanted you to.
You didn't know what they wanted you to do? Not their problem.
A wizard did it

Hmm, if we're talking about choices:
Maraas (definitely as possible LI)
Some kind of female kossith -- fog warrior?
A strong female dwarf -- warrior? -- or Dagna the scholar?!
A male elven mage, possibly a First or a Keeper
A male Rivaini
A woman from the Anderfels
A female Chasind
A female (former?) templar
And, of course, Cullen

A spirit healing elf known as "The Medic". One of the last surviving elves of Arlathan that has a magical treasure chest that's bigger on the inside, he destroyed Arlathan when it grew corrupt and now atones by way of treasure chest to assist friends that he meets in his travels. He fights against the Tevinter Imperium who survived the war and many other zany events involving other magical disturbances.

I'd like some companions that came in a pair, like Khalid and Jaheira or Minsc and Dynaheir. Just feeling nostalgic, I guess.

I think Cassandra would be better off as not a companion. I'm not a big fan of Tallis being a companion either.
I like the Bevin idea mentioned a few pages back. It would give a nod to Origins and the Blight while also creating a completely new character basically.
I would love to see Sigrun again, companion or not. She was the only saving grace of Awakening imo.

Bevin suffers the same problems that Morrigan's child and Connor. Having them as companions would mean that many years have passed and most important characters from the previous games are now old and wrinkly. Too much of a dumb move.
Also... unlike Connor and Morrigan's child, Bevin is bland and uninteresting.

A half Qunari half Human dude with normal black hair, pale skin, horns, black body tattoos, and purple eyes that dual weilds or has a bow. That would be awesome. An ex-paragon Dwarf with a huge axe or war hammer. An Orlesian chavalier. A dwarf rogue from Kal Sharok. A Mabari in which you can choose if its white, black, brown, etc. A Dalish Elf mage from that place in Rivain where humans and elves lived together, who has been posessed before but found a way to be un-posessed, who is also a "dreamer". Cassandra definitely. A Rivaini Seer dude whos a blind arcane warrior and can sense energies and fights with a long sword.Ohgren too, gotta love him! And a Qunari rogue girl that disagreed with the Qun and escaped and lived in the Anderfels most her life. Also a ex-divine templar body gaurd chick. This would be GREAT

I think that for DA3 our companions should be decided based on our previous decisions, like if you sided with the Mages you get the templar who was trying to protect them (cant emember his name or if he died, the one where you have to go in the cave) or if you sided with the templars you get Cullen...
Also would be awesome if you got to pick between 2 companions like Samara and her daughter in ME2...
As for potential companions, Bethany/Carver, A person linked to the wardens Origins, like the cousland brother if you were human noble, your ginger cousin if you were a city elf etc, Sebastian, regardless of your decision at the end of DA2, The boy from the closet in Redcliffe, he could be grown up now... possibly Connor too, he would be grown up... oh, and of course we would need our faithful companion, Dog!

I still want an Ash Warrior or a Kossith mage personally...would be interesting to see them.

Well, fan demand might be a bit lower than they expected, but I don't mind it personally. I kind of like the fact that there is a Qunari character that is not a Kossith, and is more complex...kind of an outsider on the inside you know?

Mike Laidlaw said Tallis would come back if there was fan demand and Felicia was willing to do it. I believe he says it in this video, not entirely sure.
Tallis is definitely coming back. Although the reaction to her has been mixed, if the Qunari is really going to play a big role in the next game, there's going to have to be a companion who gives an alternative view on them (just like how Anders was Pro-Mage and Fenris was Anti).

Tallis though is a wholly different perspective on the Qunari than say a Kossith like Sten could be though, mainly because she is a convert.
If anything, it can bring forth the themes of religious conversion into play here, something that was really hinted at in Dragon Age II already. That is a more interesting perspective than an alternative view ala-Sten.
