Alright so let's say you romance Liara in ME1 and then in ME2 you romance Miranda, but then she dies in the SM. Does the picture of Liara in your cabin stay up or is it face down on the desk?

As I recall, any romance finishers turn picture back up (Jacob dumps Shepard, romance finished via loyalty loss for female LI), likely death at SM will do it too.

However, it was said at twitter thread that Shepard can't get away from consequences of cheating through killing LI at SM. So it will likely turn picture back to standing position but will still recognised as "cheating".

And for Miranda: it's impossible to have sex with her and then have her dead at SM. "Had sex" means Miranda is loyal at the moment when SM starts, and loyal Miranda is immortal. Will work for any other LI, though.

Miranda can't be send to vents and loyal or not can't die with failed Biotic specialist( and that video on Youtube is a glitch, evidence that Shepard doesn't shouts her name like with every other squadmates).


Miranda can only die at holding line and Human Reaper boss fight.

Though as loyal can't die at boss fight and with loyalty she has enough 2 points for holding the line which is more then enough to survive( loyal Miranda 2 while unloyal Mordin and Tali 0 holding line and only Miranda would live).

I've wanted to kill miranda off for the longest time. I'll try using Thane as the "bubble holder" on my next playthrough.

You cannot choose Miranda for the vent and if you take her on the Long Walk, the other squadmate will always die if anyone does. Miranda - loyal or not - cannot die before the holding-the-line/final boss part of the SM.

And loyal Miranda cannot die on the SM at all. Period. Do the math. It doesn't work.

As for the topic. I'd be very surprised if the romance counted as not completed if your ME2 LI dies on the SM, turning the picture back up. AFAIK, only romance breakers before the sex scenes count for that.

@ the thread- I never actually thought about it until now but....IS Miranda actually immortal if she's loyal? I know that you absolutely can't kill her off before the final Hold the Line Segment, meaning Miranda has only 1 of 2 places to die- the Hold the Line Segment, and the final boss.

Since she's loyal, she won't die at the final boss...I guess that means she'd have to find a way to die on the line?

EDIT- Yep, she can totes magotes die even if she's loyal. Have her and two other loyal squadmates be the only survivors of the Suicide Mission up until the Hold the Line segment, then leave her on the line by herself and take the other two with you to the final boss.

RE-EDIT- DAMNIT, THAT'S WRONG TOO! Her HTL average score by herself is 2.0, which is enough for survival. Well SHIIIIT. Loyal Miranda IS immortal.

Well, if Garrus had died in the suicide mission, I'd remain loyal to him rather than rebounding to Kaidan, if Shep ever had another relationship it wouldn't be Kaidan, though if she did have another relationship her heart would still belong to Garrus
