DAO avatar armor change question

I have discussed with with Jeff Rossel and he suggested opening a topic for it as he said it fits here and my problem is in game related. here is my question.
When you change your armor for example you have heavy plate armor
(silverite) when you make a manual save and it gets generated and gets
uploaded, shouldnt the avatar wear the same armor? if so when does it happen and how and what should I do to fix it?
