 Sorry in advance if this isn't the right place to post this...

So I've been romancing Fenris - we had our awesome/disastrous night together in Act 2, and I played through Alone and Questioning Beliefs in Act 3, picking all the heart options, which ended with Hawke understanding, and him declaring he can't live without Hawke and them kissing.  All good, right?  Well, now I've started the Justice quest for Anders, and Fenris references him leaving Hawke in response to Anders' goading.  The dialogue is something like:
A: I don't know what Hawke sees in you.
F: It's over, ass.
A: Ha ha.
F: Don't make light of it, you've no idea how difficult a decision it was for me to make.

Then there was a scene where Anders tells Hawke she should be with someone more openminded, and one of the response options is "He left me."  WTF?  Is this normal?  Because last I saw, they were pretty solidly together.  I know stuff happens offscreen, but damn. So, do I need to replay something in order to get them back together, or is this the way the romance goes no matter what?

It sounds like something went wrong, yeah... If you have done his Questioning Beliefs in Act 3 and you got back together with Fenris, he shouldn't say it's over to Anders. He should say something about Anders needing to back off.

Crap. It's weird, I checked and he's still wearing his red scarf from Hawke and the family crest, which should mean they're a couple. I'm so confused, ha.

If you click on him, does he say "I'm yours" or another romantic sentence? It may be that it's just the Justice quest that messed up a bit and the rest of the romance is still fine. It should be, at least.

You should be fine. The banter can trigger in Act 3 even after "Alone" if didn't trigger before (say in Act 2). This will happen to me if I have done a play through where I wasn't using Anders and Fenris at the same time for quests/combat. Since I always have Fenris with me for the Justice quest, I too have had the banter trigger there. Romance was still fine, and completed in Last Straw.

I just tried that and he does. Crossing my fingers that it's just a quest screwup like you said. Thanks for the quick reply, btw!

Yeah, I haven't had them in a party since the middle of Act 2, so that makes sense. I'm so relieved - I was having visions of having to reload to like, the middle of Act 1.

Ditto; that banter almost always triggers in Act 3 for me, after Fenris has come back to Hawke. If Hawke forgave Fenny and he spouted his cheesy, supa squee-worthy lines about not being able to live without him/her, then all should be well
