I just got Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition (PC).  Do the patches that apply to the normal edition of the game also wokr for Ultimate?

If so, have there been any adverse effects with the patches?  If so, which one do you recommend I install?

Ultimate is already patched to 1.04 the only one you'd need to download is 1.05

There can be adverse effects if you try to install 1.04 or earlier onto DAO:UE, which as Moondoggie pointed out comes 1.04 ready as is.  1.05 (currently the most up-to-date patch) should go on top a-okay and have no adverse effects.  Certain aspects (especially DLC authentication reliability) may actually be significantly improved.

Thanks, Shinsfortress.

1.05 worked for DLC authentication, but I'm having trouble getting Witchhunt 1.1. It's not showing in my entitlement page (everything is DA 2 there). Do I need 1.1 with the Origins Ultimate?

*everything* under your Entitlements is DA2? then you'd be having trouble getting more than just WH! ;) did you redeem the code for the UE DLC? (my copy is DD, i don't know if yours is physical or whether that would matter...)

I don't think he means that. I think it's young person speak for "everything DA is there, DA2 too". I guess. Maybe referring to the DA" bonus items available just for registering DAO:UE. Of course, to play with them he'd need to also actually have DA2.

The "Witch Hunt" download link on your Entitlements page is to ver. 1.1.

The UE comes with ver. 1.1 anyway, but you can verify for yourself by checking to see if you have the following file:
"C:\\Program Files [(x86)]\\Dragon Age\\addins\\dao_prc_str\\module\\patch\\patch000.erf",
with a dtg of: 2010-09-15 16:39

Non-UE players will have the same file, but under their:
"\\[user's documents]\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Addins" folder.

(Note, in BioWare's process the first patch always has the name "patch000".
The second one is "patch001", etc.)

Thanks everyone! I got the DLC, including Witch Hunt, figured out for UE. The latest patch fixed it.

Sadly, I do have DA 2.

I had actually bought DA2 too,  , but it was still sealed well before Christmas. I wanted to see what happened with DAO. Given how many bugs or issues are still with the game even after 1.05, I sent DA2 back, deciding no more business for DA from me. Amazon UK were very good (it was still sealed after all) and sorted me out just fine.

Okay here is a dumb question from a newbie. My platform is PS3 and I am connected to internet through home network cable box. When I got to browse the internet and connect to Bioware and find the 1.05 patch or Dragon Age origins....I can't seem to download it from my PS3. I have Ultimate Edition and have had some problems so want the latest patch. This sounds silly but how can I can't the patch downloaded and installed. You cant' do it from in game downloadable content so how the heck can I get it updated? Do I need a SIM card or something??? Please help!! Kyrie

The patches we look for are at http://social.biowar...page/da-patches but that may or may not help PS3 owners, as this is a PC Support forum.

http://social.biowar...tegory/68/index is the PS3 user-to-user support forum.  Once they clear out the spam, you'll likely get better help there.  Be sure to read the "READ FIRST" sticky before posting.
