Well, its only been two months since MotA was released. They are probably just waiting to announce it until close to the actual release date. So, I would expect an announcement soon after TOR releases or early January with the actual DLC being released in mid January or so.

I seem to recall a statement of Stanley Woo: "...such is the antipathy towards Bioware..." complaining about DA2 critics not having purchased the DA2 DLCs, - in which you could possibly read between the lines, that the high quality DLCs for DA2 haven't done well at all, despite the efforts they've put into them. (would have been better spent on quality DLC for DA:O, IMO).

That would correspond to my own point: That I will do nothing to support the direction of DA that DA2 represents. I will not spend money to do something that can be interpreted as support for DA2, no matter how curious I might be.

The scary part of this is ofc that it can also be interpreted as lack of support for DA, overall, which would threaten the franchise. A necessary risk, since we would just get more DA2-style stuff otherwise. But I can certainly imagine that EA and marketing might see it as a general lack of interest.

My suggestion for Bioware: To get more complete answers, rather than the DA2-confirmation they want, try a quality DLC for DA:O. Though, I suppose, so long after the release of the game, it's difficult to see that the market penetration would be sufficient to provide more relevant answers.

Same here. I didn't purchase anything DA 2-related. On the other hand, I have SWTOR pre-ordered.

Same, won't touch anything from DA2. SWTOR..not sure about that game - they have already made pre-launch a nighmare for a lot of people by pulling a grace period that has been part of mmos for ages.

All this "DLC" should be included with the original game, or they should release full expansions. I guess you all just enjoy being taken advantage of by corporations.

Why, because you say so?

Nobody wants or expects  a full blown announcement but people are starting to think MOTA is the last piece of DLC and that you have no intention of making anymore.

Can you at least clear that up so people stop spreading false info.  Thanks and Merry Christmas:wizard:

I dont think that MOTA was the last DLC for DA2. Im sure that Bioware would give an officialy statement if this were the case.

I'm still not sure why I should spend money on DLC to a game that didn't do much for me. I have almost all the DLCs for DA:O, and from what I read/see about Legacy and MotA Bioware seems to have put much more effort in those than in most (any?) of the DA:O ones. That combined with the prematurely cancelled support for DA:O (because DA2 development was doing so surprisingly well) and an unsatisfying final entry like Witch Hunt makes me angry and frustrated more than anything.

So yeah, no support for anything DA2 related, sorry.

The DLC showcases tweaks and fixes to the game that people were complaining about in vanilla DA2. There are far fewer waves, story is intriguing, character banter is at an all time high, etc. The DLC shows where the franchise is heading, and from what I've seen I am very satisfied.

If you are a Dragon Age fan and you don't get the DLC then you are missing out.

It's all just speculation of course, but if MotA did not perform well in terms of sales, the team may end DLC support for Dragon Age 2 prematurely just like with DA:O and focus on DA3.

Just as I predicted; the DLC for Dragon Age 2 would not sell well due to the backlash the game suffered.

Called it. :P

Funny how one of them said it was doing well. Fans who think they know it all make me laugh.

Even the main game has done poorly in comparison to Origins.

DAO plays better with a retail copy than the "non" retail variety.

It might be better to withhold judgement fully on that fact alone.

Just sayin.

Heh. No offense, but it's kind of ironic you're telling someone else to "wake up" while ignoring the hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people who thought Origins was fantastic.

There will be another DLC, whether they make it to 4 is another question. I'd love for them to just merge the last two into an expansion pack, but however much I hope I just can't see it happening.

But you need to face the fact that people have a special place in their heart for it and stop trashing them because you didn't like it.

And I still stand by my prediction you will be the first one complaining about DA:3 when it comes out.

He's in denial.

DA:2 was not as bad as people said but there is a reason it only sold half of what Origins sold.

Agreed. DLC enhances the game so much.

Personally, I hope that DLC plans are not too extensive for DA2. I purchased DA2, played it, found it decent but not up to the standard of its predecessor, and then put it down for a little while. I have purchased all the DLC for it, and I do feel that Bioware's team has made some great strides in answering criticisms. I enjoyed the DLC and I appreciate the effort that Bioware team members have made in answering criticisms, to the extent possible within the limitations of the original game.

That said, I'd rather see them putting more work into Dragon Age 3. DA2 simply does not capture my imagination the way that DAO did, so for me it would be better to move forward and hope that the next game will have some of the things I liked about the first one.

There is no singular reason why DA2 sold the way it did.

Dark souls and Skyrim for the next few weeks. After that I might take up origins and DA2 for a full playthrough and decide then whether to get that da2 DLC.

I would not be surprised if they released some type of DLC in early February, if they havent released one by then you probably wont see one until at least a month or two after ME3 is released. They will not want to be competing for customers with their own titles.

Mass Effect 2 xbox360 sales -- 2.58 million
Dragon Age 2 xbox360 sales -- 0.82 million

somehow I doubt that.

Their point was that most Bioware games did not sell as well as Origins, not that DA2 performed around the same. Though, that said, ME2 did sell pretty damn well.
