A bit of fuel for speculation would be welcome, not so much to silence any rumours that support for DA2 has stopped (seems like a pretty silly rumour to start as soon as things go quiet for a while), but just to throw us a bone.

There's not much game stuff to keep us going; we've got the novel, the comic, and the anime, but all's quiet with the game. Guess the plan's just to wait for their releases and watch for game tie-in content.

Gunderic Wake up sales figures are irrelevant to enjoyment for me DAO was a trully awful game and all the awards and sales records wont change that for me .

But you need to face the fact that people have a special place in their heart for it and stop trashing them because you didn't like it.

And I still stand by my prediction you will be the first one complaining about DA:3 when it comes out.

Ha and yet you think that its ok for DAO lovers to trash anyone who remotley enjoys DA2 as long as people find it acceptable to trash DA2 for its flaws as well as the people who enjoy it  then I see no reason why I should stop complaining about how awful DAO is

Everyone here has an opinion on DA2 and DAO. The only opinion that matters to the individual is their own. It does not matter if a million people or more like something. If the person who bought the product does not like it then they have a right to voice their opinion on this forum. If other posters are going to make a comparison between DAO and DA2 then the person who did not like DAO has as much right to say why as the person who did not like DA2 or thought it was average.

What should be done is that we agree to disagree in a respectful and civil manner.

I guarantee that the next game in the sequence will have it supporters and detractors. Just like DA2 and DAO before it.

Sorry, we have little to say at this point. I can say that there will not be any new DLC before next year at the earliest, but can't say anything beyond that.

Personally I found DAO to be a good game. Not great. Not amazing. Just good. There were flaws in the story it told as well, but they weren't as numerous or facepalm inducing as DAII.

I found DAII to be a game worse than DAO in many regards. Story, gameplay, protagonist, etc. The companions were what I really enjoyed about the game, although I think they should've had more screen time.

DAO was good.

DAII was mediocre, at best.

IMO of course.

EDIT: on topic though, I'd like some Merrill-centric DLC to be given when we next get some DLC.

Why all the secrecy? Either you are planning more DLC or you're not. Why not just be open with your fans about it like everyone else?
All this top-secret cryptic style posts we're getting from Bioware is getting old.

Thanks, now I can stop checking the forum every day, at least until I read Asunder (trying to avoid spoilers). Cheers.

Bioware seem to be doing their best to push me into quitting on them, what with what I read in the leaked ME3 script, SW:TOR, and all this cloak and dagger tripe...

Because they are not allowed to say anything. Also it makes sense not to promise anything, get gamers hopes up and then say it could not be done. Far better to say nothing.

As the quote attributed to Mark Twain and others state It is better to remain silent and bethought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt.

Quit acting like children and be patient. Bioware will give us more information when they feel it's best to do so and whining about it isn't going to make it happen any sooner.

So a DLC is in the making then, good to hear, will it be before ME3 release but after New Year, or after ME3?

Don't you have something better to do than posting pointless snide comments?

Snide, certainly. Pointless, no. Very pointed, in fact.

Errrr, hello? Do you really believe they guys at Bioware don't know whether or not they have DLC planned or working on? Trust me, they know!
Why, if other game companies can be open with their fans about their plans (even if there is nothing material yet), why can't Bioware do the same?
They are alienating their fans with this "we can't say anything" approach just as PresidentCowboy said.

I'm not sure what kind of response they are hoping for, but I am very close to simply forgetting about Dragon Age...

Having a DLC "planned" is one thing, but another is checking out the DEMAND for DLC. I loved the latest DLC, but I'm not surprised they're waiting to see how many DA2 DLC downloads come in over the holidays. I'm sure they are also checking out if DA2 playing takes a nose dive after all the big holiday games come out, like KotR and Skyrim.

Bioware is monitoring DA2 activity each time the game logs us in for a reason. I'm sure that info is more accurate for them to gather information on their fanbase than the oft long-winded, adoring, and/or snide comments from the BSN.

We're not holding back information or being "cryptic" in order to mess with you guys, honest. We actually have restrictions on whether we can say anything as well on what exactly we can and can't say. Some of those restrictions may be marketing-related, some may be business-related, and some may be legal issues. Heck, some of it might even be none o' your beeswax regardless of how badly you want to know or how many times you ask/demand. Unthinkable, I know, but it does happen on occasion. :)

Personally, I think the reason for this one is to see how angry Dubya75 can get over not getting the answer he feels he is owed. To co-opt his own words, "I am very close to simply forgetting about Dubya75..." ;) (I kid, I kid... mostly.)
