I guess there was a subtle hint for Mordin dying on me regardless of everyone being loyal during the SM. Maybe I should redo the SM and let Mordin die. That way I don't need to worry about why Mordin sounds different.

Sadly, that's ACTUALLY not a bad idea. Image IPB

If you guys don't stop bickering with each other this thread is going to be locked.

This thread didn't need to be created anyway.

Sure, I should have kept the info to myself instead of sharing it...

Bioware isn't going to say a thing about OriginSpyware, they're just going to close every thread pertaining to it as to quell the negativity.

I'm going to guess they're going to do the same here, and give yet another terrible excuse (lie) as to why it was closed.

Stay classy, Bioware...or you know...actually..get classy.

That's nice. And it has what to do with Mordin and Michael Beattie?

It will be a great shame in Morden Solus' voice actor doesn't reprise his role. because in my opinion Mordin was one of the best aspects of ME2 - the dialogue was inspired and Beattie was brilliant. I really feel sorry for the person who steps into his shoes...

And to answer your question Didymos I think people are feeling ignored and frustrated mate.

It has to do with the inevitable closing of this thread. Work on pulling that stick out of your butt, will you? It will make it a lot easier to use your brain.

So, Michael Beattie doesn't even know why he isn't hired for Mordin in ME3? Wow.

I read that Mark Meer (male Shepard) did Mordin's voice in the demo but not the finished game, for what its worth.

I think he did a good job then. I mean I'd prefer Beattie but the new guy isn't doing to bad of a job.

He did it only for E3 Demo.

Right, right. OK.  Lemme run this by you: I think what's actually far more likely to get the thread closed is people using it as a flimsy pretext to drag the Origin issue in and to also b*tch about the moderators. Call me crazy.

It was a shame indeed.

The new voice did good enough for me though, but i still would've preferd Mr. Beattie.

You know, considering that throughout 8 years and three games, they've been remarkably consistent with voice cast. Mordin is the only character I know who has been recasted.

Which leads me to believe there's a reason behind it.

Maybe Beattie was already scheduled for something else and couldn't do ME3. Scheduling conflicts are a common cause of recasting.

Maybe Beattie wanted more money to be in ME3. Another common cause.

Maybe Beattie just didn't want to be Mordin anymore.

And aside from Mordin's first line of ME3, the new guy's voice is so close to Mordin's you can barely tell. He even sounds similar singing Gilbert and Sullivan.

Beattie said they never asked him to voice Mordin.
