Michael Beattie won't be voicing Mordin in ME3 it seems.

True. If Lance Hendrixson and Martin Sheen didn't come back, this might happen...Biotic Sage wrote...
Well this is disappointing news, but really Mordin isn't too big of a player in ME3, it could be a lot worse (for example, if Martin Sheen was unable to return that would be huuuge). At worst we will have to suffer through a Mordin voice imitation for a brief mission on Sur'Kesh; the rest of the game will be Mass Effect geek out gold.

And no, Meer from E3 demo doesn't sound close to original. Would hope new actor - if there will be one - would be closer.

Hopefully we get an explanation. Ugh. Now I'm gonna go buy some stickers so I can write a love letter to Beattie, It's Always Sunny style.

i really dont see the problem from what we've seen he is only in one mission if it was more than that then yes i would agree
So I guess if Ashley had a completely different voice on Horizon that wouldn't have bothered you either?

I'll be honest - I don't think they are too worried about the tiny fraction of their fans that are Mordin fans...I don't even think thats 1% of their customer market.
I'll give you that they probably don't care very much about Mordin fans, but you're way wrong about us not being even 1% of players. Way wrong.
His popularity as pick for ME3's squad was comparable to that of Miranda, Liara, even Tali (who, might I add, was added to ME3's squad because of fan demand). And these numbers include non-BSNers, because the poll was open to anybody who viewed my thread.
Lol... To be honest, I'll gladly give up Jacob, Jack, Grunt etc for the return of Micheal Beattie for Mordin..
What worries me is that if Bioware is already skimping on VOICE-ACTING which has been the strongest suit for Bioware just imagine what else have they skimped on in the game??
Oh, and music, seeing how they did in fact replace the previous music guy with a "semi-celebrity".

They were forced to replace Jack Wall because he didn't want to do Mass Effect anymore.Kaiser Shepard wrote...

Every single time I start to believe that this game will be as awesome as Bioware says, they do stuff like this.. every time!

It's illogical to believe they ditched Beattie just because. There's a story behind this that we've not been told by either BioWare or Beattie, and my bets are it comes down to money. The PLC wrote...
To be honest, Bioware is doing an extremely bad job at keeping people's worries for this game down to a minimum..

Nah, they simply replaced him with Mansell because they know his name alone will sell a decent amount of copies.Arcian wrote...

Wall is well aware that if he resorts to "petty" attacks on Bioware (ie. telling that they did in fact replace him, while he was still willing), he'll likely never get a job in this industry again.

That is, assuming I do indeed eventually get ME3 and replay the other two games.

Everyone should sign it. Call your friends, spread the word, send a telegram to your great grandparents in Greenland. Do what must be done! So say we all.
It won't matter. BioWare clearly doesn't give a f***. I will be buying ME3 used. I may only be one customer, but I will make sure BioWare doesn't see a dime. All I'll miss out on is some s***ty DLC and MP. Big f***ing deal. Goodbye, BW.
