New FemShep's design, does it come with a new voice actress?

Hale's FemShep has become as ingrained as Meer's male Shepard, and there are more people who actually play FemShep and like Hale's performance than those who do not. And if you actually think it's feasible to, in spite of all this, change VAs three months from release when all recordings are complete and the game is ready to go gold, you're fooling yourself.Yes but it's pointless to say "hale IS shepard". It's completely dumb. It sounds as if these people think it's impossible to switch Hale for someone else. It's not.

Sometimes Hale botches a few lines and makes me cringe, but I wouldn't have FemShep any other way. Considering the sheer amount of lines she has to record, she's done a fabulous job. She sounds strong, determined, and passionate--just how I like my FemSheps.
Meer's also grown on me, too. I think he does better than a lot of people give him credit for. The snappy monotone lends this charming "Buzz Lightyear" quality to BroShep, and there are a few times when there's been just enough emotion in his lines that I was like, dude, whoa.

No, I don't think that and you should have already know. Next time, read my whole comment before replying.
You clearly forgot to read this part of my previous momment:
Sure, it might not be the best move to switch voice-actors in the last part of a trilogy, but it's not impossible. Hale only "is" Shepard as long as BioWare lets her do Shepard's voice. As soon as Hale got switched for, well... lets see... Tara Strong, then from that moment forth, Tara Strong "is" Shepard.

I read your entire post. It isn't theoretically impossible, but unless you think they'd actually push back the release date *again*, pay a newcomer for a redundant job, and risk the inevitable fan ire, it is practically impossible"
Yes, that's what I was talking about. Its THEORETICALLY possible, but not a smart thing to do. I already said that.
Therefor I do not expect BioWare to change voice-actors, not now. But if it was possible, I'd like to see Tara Strong take over Jennifer Hale's place.

Unfortunately no, we are sticked to that annoying VA. It's alright I have about 30 male save ready for ME3 and only 2 for Femshep. Manly because I can't stand that voice. FemHawk are 1000% better.
Why do you need 30 saves? It has 2 endings. Female Hawk is Angelina Balerina...

I think I ruined Fairly Oddparents for my son by showing him a picture of Tara Strong and telling him that this was the voice of Timmy Turner. Then we went to IMDB and discovered that she's also Ben Tennyson's original voice. Luckily they aged him up in the new series and gave him a new voice, or else he would have been really confused...

I sure as hell hope we get a new voice actress. I can't stand Hale's femshep.
You people want to exchange the VA right in the midst (sort of) of the series? That's like Bruce Willis getting ditched for Mr.T for "Die Hard" #3 and #4 (regardless of the movie qualities that is).
Hale sucks and we're getting a new femshep anyway.
As usual, you don't get your wish. You might also be checking your christmas stocking for coal...

Don't worry, he is only looking for controversy, as usual.
Also, this thread is useless. Jennifer Hale is the VA, and I doubt they change that 3 months from release for any reason. I mean you can surely discuss and voice opinions as much as you like, but nothing of this changes ME3 in any way.

I would have preferred, however, that when speaking one on one with friends and romantic interests, that she was less military and more woman in such conversations.
Other than that, she is fine and I wouldn't like to see a switch. But as was stated, Ms. Hale is doing FemShep's voice based on evidence of her doing promotions for ME 3, it would be awfully strange to have her do promotional work if someone else was doing the voice.

Perhap's she does sound like she did 10 years ago, but her voice is both deep and raspy, making the character far older than her face appears, especially given the new default model.
Fit's my sheps face perfectly. Obviously most femshep players feel the same way about theirs, soo.

I always thought she did? Just slightly, but still there.

More like 15 years. She still sounds like she did when she played Black Cat on Spider-ManJanus Prospero wrote...

Maybe she likes to channel her other roles from time-to-time or something.Random Nobody wrote...
I'm not getting where she "sounds too old," honestly. Granted, the acting was a bit inconsistent (she was gruffer from time to time), but at some points, she sounded like a teenager - like that ginger-headed character from Totally Spies.

Maybe. To be fair, she uses a much higher voice for the TS character, it was only the occasional inflection similarity and voice quality that led me to find out they were voiced by the same actress (same reason I recognised Claudia Black as Aethyta and the asari messenger). The result, though, was that she would sound very young...and then immediately go back to being (sometimes overly) gruff. That whiplash (and the few times that Hale hams it up) is my only qualm with her performance. She's otherwise excellent.jreezy wrote...

Male Shep's is too flat and nasly and FemShep always sounds either bored, or horny.
It'd be much better if they just scrapped the whole 'voiced protaganist' nonsense and just left them silent.

NO! Everything but silent protagonists!
I rather listen to Meer and Hale all day long than play another game with a silent protagonist. Silent protagonists is a thing of the past. It's outdated.
Sure, Skyrim, best game of 2011, has a silent protagonist. Fair enough. But I play that game in first-person as myself. My Skyrim character is not a person, it's an avatar. It's a representation of myself. So I can live without a voice in that game.
But Mass Effect? Shepard? No. Shepard is not an avatar. Shepard is an actual character, a person. And a person needs a voice. Without a voice, the game would feel old, outdated, empty, weird even.

Me? I'd rather be free to roleplay the character as I see fit, have more dialogue options and have more resources to spend on other content.
What I ask for is not dated is not 'dated', it's a matter of preference. Would you rather play a more 'cinematic' game with a more defined protaganist or would you rather have more freedom to roleplay your own character and mold them as you see fit?
Personally in a roleplaying game I'd like to have the freedom to roleplay a variety of characters. But of course this wish will never come true as the Mass Effect series is already set as a 'cinematic' series and Bioware's other old school RPG franchise Dragon Age has been raped raw in an attempt to appeal to the COD crowd.
