I just found that the director of this game is Jon Van Caneghem who is known for Might and Magic Series and Heroes of Might and Magic series which makes this game more intriguing for me.

Why is there no Generals section on here, if they truly are involved with this game?

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see a section for a little while.  Right now the ETA is anytime in 2013 which means at most 24 months till release if no delays happen.

I like the C/C series, but after what happened to C/C 4........well-

Lets just say I'm not as excited lol. And dont let the "Made by Bioware" thing fool you, they sold out to EA, the destroyers of C/C 4 and countless other games. |x[

I guess Bioware has become the Paul Mitchell or Calvin Klein of video games. Just slap their name on everything since EA themselves has no credibility left. Joking aside, I like some RTS games like the Total War series (though I've never played C&C) so I'll hold off judgement. But honestly I'm skeptical whether the "real" Bioware (as in their core Edmonton studio or even the Austin one) is involved in this at all, or if it's just another studio they hired and opened up recently. I'm also not sure how I'll enjoy this game with the Bioware label on it. Because to me Bioware equals two things: Story and Companions. Those two things account for 95% of why I love their games. I don't see how companions can be intigrated into this game, at least not in any traditional sense. And I also think it's going to be very difficult for them to pull off an actually compelling and deep story in a RTS format, but we'll see I guess. I'm not against them doing new things as I'm actually greatly anticipating SWTOR, but RTS may be going too far away from what they do best imo.

I absolutely love Geralt's voice - sure it's lacking emotion, but that's exactly how it should be.

There's a difference between being stoic and having the mannerisms of a plank of wood. I would describe Geralt as being closer to the latter. Generally the VO in both TW games is good, but I find Geralt's voice to be very lacking and one of the main reasons I can't bring myself to play either game a second time. Just my opinion.

Because C&C has his own forum:
http://www.commandan...uer.com/forums/

If you want to join all BSN memebers already have a profile there the same you have here.
It is fun how there the C&C fans have taken the news about BW developing the next game of C&C....something like "Geez now are we going to have a romance with the Mammouth tank?"..:P

What would people talk about? Were you here when they made the DA2 forum and it was still months away?

Heh, never seen you this excited for something.

Don't you mean uninterested? Bioware can't keep making the same style of game forever after all. It would get stale. Unless you are a C&C fan and are unhappy with what you see.

I hope they wont copy anything from C&C4 tough... Not even Kane. That game is such a disaster.

Edit: I hope hackers will be in game again :)

I don't understand the excitement for this as it relates to BioWare. An existing EA studio has been renamed to BioWare in order to cash in on what's left of the BioWare name and brand. It's not like the BioWare Edmonton team are responsible for this.

I'm more hoping that it brings the series back to the success it had back in the Westwood Studio days really.

I just picked up C&C 3 (Never played it) so far enjoying it, pretty busy in the early part but I bet I just need to get used to playing RTS games again (It has been a while).

I was just going to mention this.  I thought he had retired from AAA development after 3DO/NWC went under (and Ubisoft took the IP from him).  But it appears that EA hired him after C&C4 to take over this series.

I wonder how much of his presence was responsible for sticking this studio under the BioWare brand.

I ment what I wrote.
All this hype 'n wistles about a game that is targeted towards series fans... Is it something innovative? Something new? No. Unless they cram "rpg elements" in it. Heh ;P

I'm not interested in the series; It was marketed as Bioware event whilst it should be C&C event, no? It only got my attention coz of the BW label. But the whole thing was forgotten as soon as it was announced. Simple as that. So it was a let down.

And I'm not scorning or spitting acid at BW. I was simply dissapointed its nothing form me to wait for (God of Games knows there are too little and far between pureblooded RPGs coming out...).

Really... But Heroes of Might and Magic is turn based and is an RPG, I doubt this command and conquer game is.

Renaming an existing studio with the Bioware label isn't going to entice me all that much.  This sums up my feelings rather well, for a kotaku article anyway.  kotaku.com/5867121/what-does-bioware-even-mean-any-more-it-doesnt-mean-command--conquer

generals was the best of the c&c series in my opinion. i hope the new one does the title justice. also, i agree just slapping the bioware name on something does not make it bioware. i'm not in major hate mode because i saw the writing on the wall about this a while ago, and it's old news to me. EA is like the abomination at the end of da2 and amgarrak, it just absorbs stuff and uses them for parts.

So there is a chance that this game be a good one B)

Eh...I don't mind Bioware doing an RTS, if anything I welcome it with open arms to see if they could do it well (and then throw them off a cliff if they did it bad) but a C&C game? Just doesn't seem very....Bioware to me.

Honestly if there was one RTS I want to see Bioware do it would be Homeworld 3, or re-doing the other 2 as well. But that's just me who has just finished Homeworld 1 again about 2 hours ago. (I love that game.)

I may be biased, but I'm looking forward to this game a lot. I've been a fan of Jon van Caneghem since the Might and Magic II days, and his was one of the first game developer names I really recognized. I've never played the Command and Conquer series, but now that the new one is falling under the BioWare label, I will definitely give it a shot.
