I see so those sites are still active. Why did you post that strange post above then?
Lion and Banshee are back, which is great. Last time i checked cncden i saw no activity. I glad that is not the case.
Nearly all of the long term fans, i disagree with that statement. Our board is almost 12 years old (10 years on the current software).
But those 'true' 'not true' c&c notions really sadden me.
Ahh figured you were part of the Feud, you most know nothing about it I guess. You have the Old Guard and the youngins, new guys, what ever you want to fall them. The old Guard is as it sounds we were with CNC from the start, the new guys game up during the EA period, lead to a nasty site split, dead mods, lost assets, bans, and some of the new guys also felt no problems in stealing and using the assets of others, which has lead to alot of good mods just dying. And yeah Lino is okay, Banshee can be an ass at times, really depends, a few years back he basically was rude to everyone, uptight with all of his assets, then just vanished, seems okay now he's back, but tis'was strange. But this was mainly on US and English sites, like what I listed and Mod DB. CNC generals communities funny enough where never hit by it.
And yes I said many, many is never all. And yeah it might I just hate what EA did to the C&C games, to Westwood. Just isn't the same. CNC Generals just doesn't have the same "Feel" as other CNC games, but still a great game, ea should have just ran with that, left old giants to sleep. They had a good thing going and it wouldn't have dragged the old games in the mud for "Milking" CNC Generals 2 should have been made years ago, been up to three or four now, and not need the BW name.
But the whole antimodding and anti mapping stance...EA what the hell? Those things kept the older games going, old copies selling, and made you alot of money. Heck alot of these mods even showed up in game magazines. Its like Starcraft 2 all over again.
