I'm fully aware of the facts, but I just can't think of it like that yet. In mine brainz.Brockololly wrote...

If I had been forced to bet I would've put my money on C&C:G2 after carefully reviewing all common theories, but yet I still can't quite believe it. BioWare + C&C does still not compute in my head.
Its because its not really BioWare- in that, I think when most people think of BioWare they're thinking Edmonton. This is just Victory Games or EA LA which EA had BioWare gobble up once they became a fully fledged EA Label. Just seems EA is really trying to position BioWare as their own sort of Blizzard, between getting into strategy games and MMOs.
And someone should tell EA already that you can't forcefully create a huge label and put its studios on a tight schedule of yearly releases and expect it to compete with Blizzard which not only grew organically, but is allowed to work on projects for as long as they want and/or feel the need to. Maybe if TOR turns into a proper cash cow EA will give BW the same kind of leeway? ... Buwahaha!

Don't know about anyone else, but that was a big red-flag for me.

As long as it's got
actual base building and large-scale strategy. I enjoy tactical RTSs
without those featrues, but lately it seems like those are all that gets
made. C&C4 (whatever it was official subtitled - Tiberium Twilight,
I think?) definitely fell victim to that trend.

Still don't understand why they're slapping the BioWare name on this though. Unless its an avenue for them to eventually make Mass Effect or Dragon Age strategy games.
It is a breain teaser. I know EA's rpg group = "BioWare" this is kinda confusing.
But if they are going to go with strategy games Gimmie a Mass Effect one like Sins of a Solar Empire or Sword of the Stars.
And the Dragon Age would be nice as The LoTRR strat games or Warhammer Mark of Chaos.... that reminds me I am going to install the later I have needed a interesting game to play. I do Love the Skaven campaing in War March.

I don't understand why EA got rid of Westwood and continue to make C&C games. I haven't bought one since they killed Westwood, they just haven't been good. What's worse is that they are now putting the Bioware label on this.
From what I gathered from the "All Your History" videos, they tried going in too far in different directions, then stuck to closely to the original, and overall it just wasn't making enough in sales.

If a bioware branch was going to make RTS I would have liked it being in universe properties.
As to something I seen above With Westwood, simple, its heads and EA's were butting heads.

C&C: Generals 2 by Bioware? Does that mean I can have sex with a meek, shy, nerd-geeky tank?

Well Technically it will be new for Bioware since they have never touched franchise or genre before.

So can we get some more info on the game from the Devs pls?
I think Bioware themselves are not awesomely enthusiastic about this one - it's not their own choice to develop this game anyhow.
Will see how much love will put into raising this bastard child (if I may use such strong of a term).

That's like saying that Metroid Other M is a new franchise because Team Ninja made it :innocent:

Okay I see people are missing the context. From Bioware's perspective it is a new Franchise for them to be working on since they have never touched it before. Yes for Team Ninja Metroid was a new franchise for them to be working on.

They never said it was a new franchise for them, they said they are working on a new franchise, if they really ment what you are saying, then they did a poor job explaining it and getting people excited.wolfsite wrote...
