Then again maybe CNCG2 will be good.
No, because this "new" Bioware studio, consists of people who did RA3 and the C&C4... The Bioware brand is only for good revievs and milking fans.
Ahh so that team....yep its gonna be crap more likely than not.
Dam I had hoped for a new team. Still i guess wait and see is the best policy.

And that doesn't seem very interesting.
In particular these lines create a negative first impression:
In a world left with no politicians, diplomats, or activists, only the Generals remain.
This is the closest thing to real war without the consequences.
...from heroic General to crazed terrorist.
That just says "bad story" and "different target audience" to me.

Is Bioware just getting away from storytelling in their games, then? This just seems like such an un-Bioware like kind of game to put out. Not like DA, ME, Jade, KOTOR.....I'm all for new things, but I thought they'd announce an *original* new IP that was basically FPS/RPG. This is unexpected, and not really in sync with Bioware's general fanbase, no?

And I hope they manage to keep the awesome game mechanics of the previous Generals game, with realistic armies and special attacks.

Minus it IS NOT bioware, its the same team and dev that made the travisty called RA:3 CNC3-4, they just smacked a new label on them and made them a subdivision of bioware to milk the franchise some more.

If they could make it into something similar to Halo Wars, I'm sure it would work. But that game was made specifically for a console...TheKillerAngel wrote...

I'm disappointed that the game is PC only. I wanted an RTS to play on consoles.
My impression has been that RTS games dont work on consoles due to the high level of control you have to exert.
Knowing these forums? Probably not.TheKillerAngel wrote...

I will only try this game if you can customize your character (and be female!) and if there's romance! I have never played a game from this series before so I don't know anything about these games... But to be honest I'm not excited at all for this.
Is that some kind of joke?

Geralt and Triss have awesome voice-acting in The Witcher 2. Don't **** with The Witcher 2!
But yes, The Witcher 1's voice-acting was somewhat lacking.

EA Executive 1: Man - we totally screwed up the C&C franchise. We need a fix STAT!
EA Executive 2: Is there any companies we've bought that we haven't destroyed, sold off in pieces, or turned legions of fans against yet?
EA Executive 1: Yeah - BioWare is still doing ok, but there has been a few bumps recently, but there might be a bit in the tank...
EA Executive 2: I have an idea....
Thus C&C Generals was lifted from the void...

I absolutely love Geralt's voice - sure it's lacking emotion, but that's exactly how it should be.
I second that. I think his voice fits the mood of the game perfectly.
On the topic of command and conquer though, I really was hoping for a new rpg type game. But I guess they already have the big two genres covered pretty well (sci-fi and fantasy). Maybe a change of scene will be refreshing.

About AoE, someone should get on and make AoE4 soon, and go back to the roots of AoE2 and skip the ****tyness from the third game. God, that game was such a huge diasspointment, and neither EA nor Activision were involved which boggles the mind even more.

Somewhat?! The voiceacting of TW1, along with terrible gameplay, put me off from playing that game for more than 30 minutes. I understand that CDProjekt was a small studio back then but still, it was grating. TW2 isn't much of an improvement either, just your regular teenager's wet dream when you don't fight and when you do you are forced to roll around like pinball on steroids because if something touches you even once you are practically screwed - that isn't difficult just ****tery from the devs.
