Plus it looked a lot better than that sequence and the Thresher Maw made me laugh. It's blatantly just trying to mate with the Reaper.
But yeah, FemShep trailer with a bunch of dialogue-y bits next please BioWare marketing!

To be honest the C&C trailer was much more interesting and ME3 one was a let-down (visually underwhelming too).
Even I have to disagree with this. Aside from everything looking generically gritty and brown (which, given that it's Tuchanka, is hard to put blame on) the scale of everything was incredibly impressive. There were some bits I swore had to be pre-rendered, but then I realised Shepard was still in the foreground, so it couldn't be. Whatever visual cheats they've used worked well, IMO.

I think EA does the marketing.Apollo Starflare wrote...

Not really a "trailer" for ME3....more like spoiling gameplay.

I was just wondering about that "tower" and why the team is trying to reach it.
It looks like it doesn't belong there because its too sleek to be krogan architecture. Why is it glowing? Is it prothean? How come we never heard of prothean ruins on tuchanka then? Did the reapers bring it? Is it a reaper weapon or a weapon against the reapers? What does this thing DO?
Just curious ...

The real question is "what 'not really a trailer'"?Mesina2 wrote...

Trailer content is consistent with the leaks.
"Outdated script"? "We're changing stuff"? "Nothing is confirmed"?
More baloney from Bioware.

.. is exactly the kind of conclusion provoked when you are shown gameplay that is just running and activating cutscenes

Maybe some Krogan clan made that tower specifically like that because it will summon that legendary Tresher Maw.
Or maybe that's the Tuchanka tower and this is simply the briefing before the Tuchanka mission?Maybe the one in the screenshot is a similar tower. Maybe those towers play a larger role in the story?

Scale isn't that impressive. I guess that Skyrim spoiled me but... then again that thresher maw vs. reaper has to be real time since you can see Shepard at the same time from time to time and in that case it's pretty good.Terror_K wrote...

Also, that was PC footage this time.
I get the feeling most people filming the demo picked action mode and let it all play out... plus there were obvious gaps and jumps in the intro sequence. There were probably dialogue trees that weren't recorded yet or kept out for some reason.Dave of Canada wrote...

But even the introduction sequence before the Reapers invade, which should include a lot of dialogue, is left out of the player's control with Shepard talking to Anderson / Ashley / James. I think within 10 minutes, there's like... two dialogue inputs which ends up with essentially the same.
