Nice trailers, but where the heck is the Femshep. trailer we were promised 6 months back?

They either lied about that to get people to shut up about it or they won't release it until March 5th.

It wasnt very Mass Effect. More of just a dirty shooter using sci fi as a backdrop. No spaciness, no strange world, no sleek shiny technology, no emphasis on lore and characters and mysterious conversations with synth beats getting your heart rate up, no fog horn sunrise at the end. On the bright side, it is a graphical improvement. Too bad it is all shooter perspective marketing so I can't see the worlds and people and cities that capture the Mass Effect universe where it started. Just a bunch of gritty world-in-flames scenes.

That's pretty much it. I couldn't quite place exactly why I was so unimpressed, but that was it: it could easily have been any shooter game ever produced and I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference.

I will agree with this, though. Unfortunately, it's hard to pack the sort of things we care about into a 30-second trailers meant for a mass audience at a gaming award show. Can't really show lore and characters and "choices with consequence" in that limited time frame. Thus, it's not really directed at us.

they managed before In getting my love.

This.

It was on Tuchanka... What did you expect? Flowers and palm trees?

Yes, I can say this isn't really a trailer but more of a clip from the game. :P

I think they really should show off the Asari homeworld and those pretty space vistas more often. <_<

I think they should be drinking tea with the reaper, or play chess.

Actually, I think that was supposed to be the reaper trying to destroy Wrex's tea party because it wasn't invited.

Pretty much this. Plus, the combat rolls really look ridiculous.

PLUS, a giant worm takes on a giant robot? Looks like a mashup of Gears of War + War of the Worlds + Dune.

So not impressed. Mass Effect has slid a long, long way from what it used to be imo. I guess the people who desperately want to keep loving Mass Effect will accept any and every stupid thing that happens in the game, though.

Meh. 2/3 of the trailer was a close up of Shepard's ass in that janky running animation.

Yes, it didn't seem much different from the trailer they showed at E3 with the reaper chasing them through a desert landscape.  Heck it was even the same type of reaper form for God's sake.:?

I couldn't disagree more. It still screams ME to me. You expect a slow long story when at war? It's going to be fast paced and I love the Thresher VS Reaper.

You don't get the point of the VGAs do you?

The sort of stuff you talk about just doesn't fit with the VGAs - they require a load, action-based trailer designed to impress the masses. And thats what we got. it was a great action-sequence, but it was for the media and the masses far more than it was for us.

Besides, ME3 is about a galactic war. The scale needs to be big, and this clip showed that Bioware can give us the sort of scale necessary to realise the concept of a galaxy-wide war.

I think it's hilarious that the people who dislike the trailer, or Bioware in general lately, can't be happy with just voicing their opinion. It has to be "what's wrong with you guys for liking it?!"

Kiddo, grow up. Maybe it's as good as everyone thinks it is and you're just a bitter individual. Your retarded logic works both ways.

Yeah, it's not like they didn't get chewed out for revealing everything in the last game's marketing.

Cool. Also, very cool to see Urdnat Torsk in place of Wrex. Oh-- I'll still always save Wrex, but its nice to see an unconventional choice recognized!

I was wondering who that seemingly random Krogan was.

I thought the trailer was okay. It didn't really impress me but I didn't dislike it. Seeing Vega was good for a change even if we only caught a glimpse and heard one line. The thresher maw was actually pretty cool I must admit, but it still wasn't enough to get me excited enough to squee and rewatch it.

So I guess my overall reaction is: :)

It seems that RPGs cannot have guns, explosions, or fast paced fighting of any sort. They must instead focus on walking from point A to point B while talking to people and occasionally going into battle with an enemy.
