Pretty sure choosing to show Tuchanka in the trailer is choosing to show one of the most damaged and unadvanced places in the universe of Mass Effect. Not a good representation of the future that is in ME

Really? REALLY?

"Oh no, they didn't show that, even though they have said it's there. Clearly it doesn't exist at all."

Want to see the pinnacle of civilizations, go to the Citadel. Oh wait, not even the Citadel is safe. Chances are that it'll also become a worn out battlefield. Because that's what happens in a war on this scale.

Seriously, didn't anyone see this coming?

Does anyone think thats a Prothean tower?

I think its the Keystone that you went to in ME2 to summon the thresher maw, hence the maw vs. reaper action.

Tuchanka definitely represents a very real part of the future that Mass Effect is.

Yeah, but where else are you going to get a fast paced action show case scene that doesn't spoil anything? It's either Earth (which isn't all that actiony or fast paced), Sur'Kesh (not big enough), that Reaper chase (not that fast paced and lacks a bit of a wow factor), or something new. So they picked something new that we all knew was going to happen, but cut it down enough that we learn nothing new and they can wow the masses. Win win for Bioware.

I think they got spoiled when they saw Sur'Kesh in the leaked demo and thought the entire game would be like that...

Eh, it was okay.

I hope Garrus's comment is replaced with a different one depending on who's there (as opposed to nothing at all). It was small, but that and Shepard's tactical S-bomb put all of the EXPLOSIONS in the character's perspective.

Cuz that sleek future is gettin' its ass handed to it, son.

The Reapers are taking all the big, shiny things and smashing them up.

According to the forums, everything in the trailers is action-oriented an world-in-flames style because all the locations are like that in this war. On that logic, they could show any place

"What happened to the Dalek?"
"It died..."

I guess I'm kind of disappointed because I already knew about what was in the trailer the second I saw it. A mag already explained the scene. But I guess the other disappointing bit is how it's mostly just Shepard running, till he hits a switch. And bad animated moments, like Shepard not reacting to almost being blasted by a big red laser, flying past his face. Plus they don't even give much context to the scene.

I would have rather they put together a real trailer, and not just a badly edited and rushed scene.

Not to mention that it'd be boring and jarring to see civilizations like that to be untouched by the Reapers.

It did seem to rush way to fast. But I guess cause there is so much of it and only 1:46 seconds to show it that we get that.

Harbinger: "You'll never defeat us Shepard!"
*Shepard rings a bell*
Harbinger: "A bell?!? How is that going to beat me?"
Shepard: "Wait for it..."
*Mass effect field appears and Threshy jumps out of it*
Harbinger: "HOLY MOTHER OF ME!"
*Threshy sacrifices itself to save the galaxy*
*Shepard runs up to threshy as it slowly dies*
*Theshy uses one of its mandibles to carve into the environment: I <3 U and dies*
*Shepard sheds a manly/womanly tear*
Shepard: "NOOOOOO!!!":crying:

I certainly hope so.

It was a couple minutes long (if that) action trailer. Not surprising that there wasn't much information.
