It looked impressive, that is true but it was a bit underwhelming. Maybe I'm just tired of all trailers being about combats and explosions.

Well this is weird, they look like turians but it reads Brute ?

The Brute is a Turian and Krogan mixed together, I believe.

No, you're not. Good to know someone has a brain that they use.

Unlike you?

Glad to see that opinions on a trailer is now a measure of intelligence. *claps*

What's next? People are retarded because they enjoy things you don't like? <_<

That is what it sounds like, doesn't it?

It's ironic when someone tries to act all smug and above others' intelligence level and ends up sounding stupid in the process.

Brutes are Krogan/Turain reaper creatures.. Marauders are turian reaper creatures

Oh I see thanks for the clarification
So Repers blend several species now, that's disgusting and.....not disappointing at all

It wasn't combat--Shepard was running the hell away.  It's on Tuchanka, and as someone who's peeked at the leaks, I am here to tell you that the mission they are on is a Big.  Goddamn.  Deal.

Oh i have no doubts that its something very important. The tower looks like something that is of key interest to the reaper and Shep (and thresher maws!). I dunno though, its hard to explain. I guess its like if i never played Mass Effect, and didnt know what the current scenerio was, i might feel underwhelmed or indifferent. Its like if i see a gears of war 3 ad, i think it looks cool and all, but i really don't care about it because i never played them. Or maybe its just that i want the game right now and these teasers are just driving me nutty.

I was quite underwhelmed. That's really all I've been getting from BioWare lately, sadly.

Also, ALAN WAKE.

That trailer wasn't very mass effect at all, to quote someone else, their screename escapes me. It like they said, made the game look like a dirty, mundane shooter with sci-fi as its backdrop.

No, not the only one. Nice to see someone on the squad other than Liara though.

Terrible trailer, just terrible.

Are gamers happy with anything anymore?

I foreshadow that Bioware could give you a two hour trailer, and folks would still **** and complain.

He's giving an opinion and not insulting anyone, so leave him to that.

No, no one can enjoy a trailer. There is always over analysing and criticising.

For a VGA trailer, it was pretty good.

I really enjoyed it. It showed the scale of combat, it didn't spoil anything to those that care, and I enjoyed the action! TOO BAD ITS TOO FAR AWAY

Was that the area where Grunt took his rite of passage? Would make sense as activating the boom in that area is known to attract thresher maws.

I wouldn't even call it bad. They promised Gameplay and we got gameplay. I'm not complaining.

Lol next your going to say Bioware is attracting CoD fans who only care about HUGE setpieces and rehashed multiplayer that never changes from year to year. (Which is the most ignorant piece of hate to date)

Don't quote me and change my words, I'd hope adults would be above that. And I never apologize.

thresher maw v reaper was cool but the lack of story and characters was a huge disappointment...the ME2 launch trailer was 100% better...

Meh it was all right. Can't say as expect anything that great it's the Video Game Awards not the Video Game Exposé.

Would like to see some RPG elements? Yes, however bioware doesn't think they can do that without showing spoilers as well

Also I had a thought, I bet they're going to release the FemShep trailer in conjunction with the last mass effect book "Deception" that releases on January 31, 2012.

Since there's two of the same forum, I guess I'll post here too.

It wasnt very Mass Effect. More of just a dirty shooter using sci fi as a backdrop. No spaciness, no strange world, no sleek shiny technology, no emphasis on lore and characters and mysterious conversations with synth beats getting your heart rate up, no fog horn sunrise at the end. On the bright side, it is a graphical improvement. Too bad it is all shooter perspective marketing so I can't see the worlds and people and cities that capture the Mass Effect universe where it started. Just a bunch of gritty world-in-flames scenes.

What I really love is how people are stunned that a game about a galactic war has combat and explosions in it.

Best thing I've seen of the game so far. Crazy stuff!

And hats off for Bioware, who actually had the balls to show off some real gameplay!
