Btw, if the Brute are only Elcor husks, perhaps there are Krogan or Turian husks that we don't know anything about.

I though they were turian/krogan husks when they mentioned, though from the screenshot the body resembles more an Elcor than a Krogan. Though the head seems a lot like a Turian's. I think we'll have to wait and see.

There was a husk with a perfect skeletal Turian head, and a set of 5 foot wide shoulders and something like 2 foot wide arms in one of the Pulse episodes. Pretty sure that was the Turian/whatever hybrid.
I'm pretty sure there are also non-hybrid Krogan husks, so Turian/Elcor makes sense. Both Krogan and Turian/Krogan husks would be a bit odd, no matter how great Krogan are as husk-material.

OH GOD

I am disgusted with the Reapers and their husk making ways. How dare they mess with the noble Elcor. HOW DARE THEY! Rawr!

They've already got the Old God vibe going on don't give me more reason to be creeped out by them.

When you frezze the image you can see that they look like a turian that has been mutated by reaper nanotechnology
I noticed this myself. Well, no matter what the husks are made of, the Reapers will die an anguish-y death of burning firey-ness. Shepard will make it so.

The spiky collar thing around his head and shoulders, It's like the forebody and the back cracked-opened to reveal some kind of atificial head and spiky spine.
At least that's my interpretation.

Sad to see how we got such enemies though.
Anyone ever read the codex entries on Elcor combat though? Basically walking tanks with mounted weapon systems on those bulky shoulders, controlled by complex VI systems to compensate for Elcor's naturally slow reactions.
Too bad they're too big to have as a regular teammate though. We'll probably have to wait for the next generation of consoles before the devs would even think of having one, let alone the nightmare of getting him to fit through doors.
Oh, and as Zaeed would tell you, never underestimate the Hanar. Damn Jellyfish...
