I heard in Mass Effect 3 there will be repercussions on Players who Romance Someone from ME1 and take another Romance interest in ME2. Basically saying You cheated on someone from ME1 with someone from ME2. My friends said there will be an Event where you have to make a Final Choice or Punish for your infeldelity.

Is This true? or are My friends are lying?

It will be funny since Shepard Bi in ME3. So if you Romance Ashley in ME1 and Cheat on her with Miranda in ME2 then Finally Romance A Guy in ME3. Won't Ashley and Miranda be ****** off or Freak out by that. I wanna see Ashley and Miranda Reactions to that.

Or Even more Crazy You Romance Ashley in ME1 and Miranda in ME2 and Finally Romance Tali in ME3. You have to Choose between the 3 of them but Renegade Shepard suggest having all of them but got kill in process by them for suggesting that.

Based on the script no consequences, you can just say it was always you or some other malarkey.

I always wanted to see an awkward confrontation between the ME and the ME2 love interests, or at least catch them mentioning one another or acting differently when Shepard is around both of them at the same time, but considering you can start a romance once more in ME3 with a character you didn't romance before, and taking into account how many LIs add up in the end, I dunno how much we'll see regarding consequences. Wouldn't be surprised if, like BillsVengenace said, it turned out you only get to say ''IT WAS ONLY YOU BAYBAY I SWEAR." and boom, the end.

....It's not cheating unless Shep lied to them about their relationship. Since Shep died (which is kind of a relationship killer) and he and the VS/Liara never got back together (at least he didn't get back with Liara until the end of the LoTSB) he can't cheat on them. Unless of course he got back with Liara in LOTSB and then went barking up a ME2 LI's tree.

And B.  Shepard doesn't *change* to being bi in ME3. He always was but never expressed it (unless of course you say he decided to try out men in Me3 despite only liking women before...) or he was always gay and was lying to himself...or he's straight and always will be straight. It depends on the player and their Shepard.

Though...the reactions could be funny.

And I wouldn't bet my money on that.

Romance arcs are not part of the main story arc, but might have some impact on the story. And they weren't fully developed until now afaik.

Didn't BW say that your ME1!LI will address any active ME2 romance even if she or he died in the Suicide Mission. I think it's going to MAKE a difference.

So, guys, stay faithful. ^^

The address it the same way BioWare addresses all "meaningful" choices - with a single line of dialogue.

"I hear you were with X."

"That's over.  It's always been you. Blah blahity blah."

Yeah, I agree...they have always maintained that there would be consequences....or that something bad would happen.  Of course it is possible that some of that stuff in the leak may not take place if you remained loyal. Just a thought.

Without getting into details (some of them I've got), the decision does make a difference. Okay, it IS a cosmetic one if you don't care that much about ME romances, but it does make a difference.

if you talking about what I think you are talking about and that romantic status has any bearing on that situation, please god no.  it woudln't be in character, it would just be added for a cheap, facepalm induced drama.

my prefered consequences would be inability to get back together with ME1 LI if you had moved on, but I don't think I'd be getting that, unfortunately.

I don't think we're thinking the same thing but in my opinion some of the leaks were ooc anyway...if they were legit...keep thinking about how the Lost producers used to put out foilers all the time. Guess we'll know in March.

After Horizon I'm done with my ME1 LI. She never knew me and now, never will.
so...

Shepard: "Yep, and I still am and I'm proud of it."  Image IPB

Said conversation starts off a chain reaction that changes ME3 from a shooter RPG to a romantic comedy~!

Shepard: Aww, come on, at least I don't spy on half naked people like Kasumi~!

Mass effect 2 has an odd definition of "cheating" since you can get kissed by Gianna, try to kiss Samara, get a lap dance from a stripper, have dinner with Kelly, get a lap dance from Kelly (Shep sure loves lap dances), have a moment with Shiala, have sex with Jack, and kiss Miranda - none of which is considered cheating...

Well, you don't know- your LI could consider that cheating, but it doesn't flag as an active romance.
