Would multiple bonuses of "Rapid Aim" on multiple items stack if used on a character? I did some forum and wiki searching regarding this question, but I found as many posts or articles mentioning that multiple "Rapid AIm" bonuses from items would not stack as those who stated that they would stack.

Now, I do understand that a single Rapid Aim item would normally be enough as longbows have +0.3 sec aim time penalty, while a single item with Rapid Aim item would yield -0.3 sec aim time bonus, canceling each other out. This however, assumes that I am not going to use any sustains that will add aim time.

As I amplaying in Origins, the only viable sustain that will possibly increase damge is the "Aim" sustain, which would penalize aim time by increasing it by 1.5 sec, but giving critical, damage, armor pen, and attack  rating bonuses in return. What most people would do is to use the  Repeater Gloves item, whose "Rapid Aim" reduces the aim time of the archer by a whopping 3.0 sec (compared to other Rapid Aim items which  only reduces the aim time by 0.3 sec or less). I don't happen to have access to RtO DLC however, and as such there is no repeater Gloves for me.

That's why I am trying to figure out whether multiple "Rapid Aim" on different items stack. If they do, I also wondering whether using 2x of any of the available Rapid Aim items (without repeater Gloves access) would be enough to compensate for the "Aim" sustain penalty.

I'm not certain if they stack.

But my feeling has been that Aim is worth using simply because it will improve the archer's success of hitting the enemy. Rapid Aim is more about increasing the rate of fire, as near as I can tell, and does little to improve accuracy. I've played both with Repeater Gloves and without that item, and to be honest, I never really noticed a huge improvement with that particular item. That is on the PC platform, however.

I build my archers to have both Aim and Song of Courage sustained, and they use a bow with the Rapid Aim bonus (Falon'Din's Reach is a good one). Seems to work pretty well. Repeater Gloves, well, if I have them I use them, but otherwise....

I can't say for certain whether they DO stack, but anecdotal evidence from my playthroughs seems to suggest it does, as I've noticed Leliana seems to go through her stack of Fire/Ice arrows faster after I equipped her with Marjolaine's Recurve Bow, faster again after I gave her the Repeater Gloves (and I use a mod which fixes the Repeater Gloves so they only reduce aim time by 0.3 seconds instead of the bugged 3.0 seconds), and yet faster when she wears the Armsman's Tensioner.

If the items DO stack, then wearing three items with Rapid Aim should reduce aim time by 0.9 seconds. Aim increases aim time by 1.5 seconds, so with the 3 items, this cuts it down to 0.6 seconds. Half a second is more than worth it, in my opinion. Especially once you import to Awakening and get the Accuracy talent, which turns your archer into a long range turret of death. XD

They stack, but I just discovered that Aim is nearly always bad for DPS and thus there's no point in going out the way for more aimspeed reducing items. The aimspeed bonus on your good bow will already reduce your aim time to the minimum without any further effort. You can read the details here if you're interested.

Last Darkness has an excellent archery wiki page that covers archery mechanics, builds, etc for both origins and awakenings. I do not have the link available (I am not at home atm). I am sure you can find it with a search. Alternatively search the threads here...the link is in his sig I believe.

I found his writeup to be very helpful!
