Deep down everybody loves quick-time events.

QTEs are all right, so long as they aren't annoying and overdone throughout the game.  RE5 and RE4 are a good example of having bad and good moments with them.  Too many.  Some, perhaps less than a third, were fun and made sense with the controls.

I support the "slow dance scene" as either alternate scene to the sex scene OR as a scene similar to the cuddling scene in ME2: summon your LI to the loft and do the dance. Or cuddling. Or gazing out of the window. More romantic stuff ... that's it.

Zorz, This may have been a good idea about 6 months ago when they would've been able to add it. I would assume it would be around 60 days before the game has to go gold. Right now they probably need to focus on polishing that sucker like nobody's business before sending it out to the masses. It means BioWare would pretty much have to get a mocap team to do all that, and I personally doubt there's much time left.

It's...possible. I'm not entirely opposed to the idea, and very curious how(and where) that would be held. Illium and the Citadel are feasible. Since marriage isn't completely off the map, there's a possibility of a dance between shepard and whatever LI you may have chosen. All things considered, I've heard ME ideas far more on the absurdity meter than that.

I support slow sensual dance scenes. I'd like to see that, plus appropriate music ...

Lets say BW gives us the opportunity to summon the LI to the loft whenever you want. I don't wanna see only a snuggling scene. I want the "big deal", means, multiple romantic scenes, maybe randomly picked by the LI or Shepard.

- Dancing scene - different styles (slow & sensual, faster, ... you name it)
- Sitting on the bed, talking about stuff (maybe even related to the current stage of the story)
- Cuddling scene - different styles (ME2 style, semi-naked, naked & hidden by blanket)
- Gazing out of the window (observatory deck)
- Embracing & gazing in each others eyes
- Dinner for two
...

Something like this. C'mon, BW, romances do not only consist of some talk, sex and snuggling. Speaking of experience ^^

Romance has some impact too - it gives Shepard a reason to fight for something. Something that keeps him grounded. Not more, not less.

Dunno. I think they're more secondary, especially since they could make a difference in who's going to survive the war or in particular scenes. Won't go any deeper into that, or there's a chance I could spoil you.

Tertiary are side missions not directly connected to the main plot, if you ask me. Primary stuff should be the main story arc, secondary any side missions, loyalty missions and romance arcs supporting the main plot. But that's just my idea.

You can't actually spoil me; a jerkarse friend of mine already accomplished that way back in the beginning of November.

I say they're tertiary because they are only plot-relevant if you make them so. The same scenes play out (albeit with different conclusions) when all characters are only platonically involved. Romance, I think, lumps in with "better character interaction," but no more focus should be put on it than squaddie bonds.

I dunno. From what I read already, some romances seem to have impact on player's decisions. I'll put it this way: at some point a situation A happens. That situation involves a character B. If this character is a LI, you can make a difference in that situation just by the fact that character is an active LI. Other influences are loyalty, trust, missions you have to do first - whatever you can think of. So if character B is your loyal active LI and trusts you, you can solve that situation with far less problems than if that character is disloyal, doesn't trust Shepard and does not have romantic feelings for him or her.

An easier example for such situation is Wrex on Virmire. If you can't talk him down, he'll die. But you have three ways to save his life:

- Have Garrus and Liara not recruited yet
- by doing his "loyalty mission" with the family armor
- by morality decision
