Its is a great hoodie. I bought it to replace my original N7 hoodie(very glad I did). I love that the strip is sewn on and the N7 is embroidered.

Now im not a trying to be a big complainer or ask for a refund, I am just trying to provide input for the next hoodie you plan to make. The one problem I have come accross is the velcro to cover the zipper, especially the very top one. It latches onto the draw string and mangels it up. I have washed it once and the draw string looks completely assed up. So I had to remove the whole thing because I am not going to walk around in a nice hoodie looking like a rabbid animal chewed on my draw string.

Now once again, i dont want a refund or an exchance (I love the hoodie and I dont need the draw sting). Im just posting this to inform the store and possibly some costomers that this is one of the possible improvements to look for.

this is a picture of what the string looked like after one wash :(

That draw string is messed up, sorry to see that. I'm trying to think how to prevent that, would the velcro not stay attached in the wash if you closed the sweater up before you put it in and tucked the draw strings inside?

I do suppose if you closed it up you might not have the problem. I'm normally the kind of guy that just stuffs all his laundry in without a care in the world.

A possible idea, is replace the velcro with some snap on buttons maybe or some other kind of fastener. or maybe change the type of fabric the drawstring is made of?

My N7 emblem started having a few strings pulled out of it and it took me a little while to pin point what was causing the issue. I thought initially that it might simply be the coat rubbing up against the wall where i hang it, but It is definitely the velcro. You have to be very careful not to let the velcro grab hold of the N7 logo or it will pull some of the threads out when you go to putt the jacket on.

I would also suggest that you should always fasten the velcro nearest the logo when you take of the jacket to avoid it folding over and grabbing the N7 logo.

Changing these velcro strips to some sort of snaps, buttons, or removing them entirely in the next iteration would be great. I would hate to see the N7 logo get torn up just by using the jacket.

Other than this velcro issue I love my jacket and wear it all the time.

I've just received my hoodie, and I'm noticing the same problem of the velcro catching the drawstring and the logo. The elite version is defaintely much better quality then the origional version I've had, but I'd second the suggestion that the velcro should be replaced by snaps, or indeed, removed completely.

Failing that, a simple fix would be to put the hook side of the velcro onto the other side of the opening.

Its just lucky that I've got some spare velcro thats the same colour as that on the hoodie, so I can stick the fuzzy side over the velcro at the top and near the logo to cover it when I'm wearing it open to stop it from catching.

Thanks for this. I was going to purchase the elite hoodie today but wanted to see if someone could tell me how warm it is compared to the previous version and found this thread. Somehow, I didn't even notice the velcro flap in the pictures before. I don't like that. I'd rather just get rid of the flap and have the zipper show. Zippers are cool. Especially if they customized an N7 zipper pull. Why would I want to hide that? Next version, get rid of that flap altogether. And if threads are getting pulled out a lot... I don't know what to do about that.

Thanks for the warning. My previous non-elite hoodie is still in good shape after a year and a half. I just thought I'd get a new/different one in a different color (was going to get gray. Current one is black.). Wouldn't mind having a hybrid - original hoodie style with new hoodie N7 inside pattern and MP3 headphone feed.

Oh - another thing - I don't know if this was always there or added after this thread started but, the description does say to wash it zipped up with velcro closed.
