So I was watching the VGA trailer today, and noticed that besides the fact that a giant Thresher Maw was tonguing a Reaper, there was a rating in the beginning of the video. ME3 is marked for:

Blood
Strong Language
Violence
Sexual Content
(And Fox's favorite video game topic) Partial Nudity

There have been threads all over the place arguing this topic, but I'd like to hear your opinions now that this has been made official.

Ahem. Discuss. :D

I'd really like more adult sex scenes, it is an M rated game after all.

Discuss what? It was done tastefully in ME1, they can do so again.

Inb4 "lolol they're ramping up fanservice to cater to the cod crowd".

I would like to remind everyone that discrimination agains the cod crowd will be harshly penalized by the Committeé of Aquatic Rights (CAR).

I'd rather have female turians and salarians than wasting resources on naked models.

First of all: People should start -not- caring what Fox is telling them. Fox re-defines bigotry and whenever Fox-guys are opening their mouth to tell their version of truth, I know I'm right when I believe the opposite. That rule -never- fails.

Nudity does not damage children brains. Violence does. Dad shouldn't have any problems with any pixel-breasts and violence, but his 12y old son shouldn't see all that violence. Boobs are fine imo.
The game is M-rated, guys! I'd rather see a dad in jail who allows his under-aged kids to play M-rated games than censorship.

I want my "full nudity" back, like in ME1. It wasn't pornographic but very tasteful erotic (gaming standards). It's not wrong to bring that back. Heck with it, give those US guys full clothed models if you like, BW (isn't the USA the nation with most porno producers per citizen?), leave them naked for the rest and non-prude part of the western world. Shouldn't be that difficult, eh?

I think it would be a great opportunity for fan service if they showed full frontal nudity on the default FemShep and had the carpet (blonde) not match the drapes (red). Actually, that would be more like a middle finger to the BSN...and I would applaud.

For what it's worth, ME2 was rated M for "Blood, Drug Reference, Sexual Content, Strong Language, Violence". Not Partial Nudity. Maybe there's no more fully-clothed dry-humping after all.

It could just be a Reaper-Asari-Broodmother-thingy rather than your favorite piece of pixels in your Shepard's bed.

No. People should still care about Fox News. They should just do the complete opposite of what Fox News advocates. ;)

"This is the same rating as ME2 had and any sex scenes would be comparible to what you saw in Mass Effect 2." -Chris Priestly

ie) Doesn't sound like there will be nudity... sorry. Could be wrong of course... but Mass Effect 2 didn't have any nudity whatsoever.

The descriptors of the rating are different between ME2 and ME3.

Yes you would be correct. The banshee is naked. Well folks, there's your "partial" nudity.

Shepard likes to role-play that he is a middle-school boy who has never been to second base.

That, Sir, makes sense.

Lets care about Fox news and believe the opposite of what they're telling us.

Seriously, guys. Learn to live without TV. I do it for years now and I miss nothing. I even know how to sort things out when reading news - usually I don't believe anything until finding a reliable source confirming those news. It needs a bit more time, but it's also rewarding.

I really wonder why nudity is an issue. Sure, no one wants full blown porn in a game with an entirely different genre (yes, there are porn games, but lets ignore them). ME1 is no porn game and you had full nude scenes. ME2 is no porn game and you had the oportunity to hump six different characters. But those scenes were a bit less decent since semi-naked - who does the deed with clothes? I think I can understand it for Garrus or Tali, but not for the other love interests: are they out for the "big deal" - then they should take time, get rid of the clothes and admire each others body. If they're out for a quicky, then they can keep the clothes - it just fortifies my image most of the ME2-romances are meant as ONS to keep Shepard entertained. And that is a major fail, at least for those guys who don't like ME1 romances.

Just my humble opinion.

ME3 needs to bring full nudity back. Doesn't mean porn. You can show naked people in a very beautiful, non-pornographic way - ME1 tried it, and did well imo.

I dunno. Isn't "The Witcher 2" an European game?
Guess Fox accepted that we Europeans have a thing for nudity. But they try to apply their sick standards on Canada ... or EA.
