Yeah... If I am forced to play pro-chantry it will be the last dragon age game I play.

Howabout a mage who is working with the Chantry because they're the best available ally against the Templars?

(With appropriate opportunities to make clear this is an alliance of convenience and that you're pissed off at their prior conduct)

Only if I can screw over the chantry at the end and destroy the orgnanisation from the inside.

In fact I am unsure if I want mage freedom more if the prize is giving the chantry military power back.

I do not want to be pro-chantry.

I like the idea of class based origins for mage and then rogue/warriors. I don't think they'll go back to 6 though

I saw in an interview somewhere awhile ago with david gaider and mike laidlaw where someone brought up the origins and they commented something like that if they were to decide to do them it would probably be more like the mass effect background

I hope they do decide to do this in some sort of form, I'd like to play a circle mage again since we did the apostate thing last game, I don't know if I would wan't to play as a seeker. I kind of liked starting out as a nobody plus like some of the other people I'm not exactly 100% chantry supporter

either way I'll be happy, I'm excited for when we get more news :)

Well, if we have to play a seeker, i hope there is an early option to turn from the Chantry. I will be disapointed if we are forced to support the chantry. Even more so if we can't be a mage.

I like the idea to play as either the warden, hawke or new character in DA3

In my opinion It is a good compromise.

you can then choose to continue the story as the warden or hawke

And if your warden died then he/she died and only the decisions remain from DAO

Agreed entirely. No accent. Would rather be a mute. If I can not be my Warden then after reading Asunder, I am hoping a Seeker with Cassandra and Cullen as companions :D oh here is to wishful thinking...

They've said they're going to have a new PC for each game.

I have no problem playing a character that works for the Chantry. I worked for the Wardens in DA:O, and they're a group of blood magic using thieves, murderers, traitors, and rapists.

Yes! Cullen

I wouldn't mind it terribly if it was more Leliana accent like versus that prosper person in mota who moves like he's a chicken

MofTA...what a mistake. I hope Tallis is gone. Like really gone. Will pay extra for Cullen though! Or...Maric alive... stranger things have happened.

I actually really like mota, though the orleasions were just a tad over the top lol

Poor Maric, trapped in that Orlesian prison all alone :crying:

Oh let us hope :o
Return of Maric would be spectacular! I did not like Tallis...if they would have let me run my blade through the elf, I would have loved MofTA. But that option was not given to me...

I agree I loved his character in the novels :)

I didn't mind Tallis, actually if we have Cullen as a companion then I wouldn't mind having a party of nugs
haha not really but you know ^_^

Party of nugs, now that is bloody BRILLIANT! We did have a Bronto (Snug?) in Golems of Amgarrak...I honestly would prefer the nug to some of the companions lol

My companions always end up growing on me, even Sebastian (who I didn't like at first) but he always ends up leaving my party at the end ):

I liked Sebastian, in fact my Hawke "married" him in all my playthrough's. I hope for Starkhaven DLC at the very least to see what became of Seb. I think he got his sign from The Maker alright...

Now, see why I lean toward The Chantry; all the good looking one's come from there

I didn't like him at first but then I realized he's not so bad, I probably would of liked him alot if we just got more dialogue with him, at the end I still felt like I hardly knew him
but with the whole chaste thing, he's just not really my type

Cullen and Alistair on the other hand...
I swear I have some type of templar fetish haha

We've turned this forum from talking about our next protagonist to talking about our obsession with guys from the chantry lol

I would love to be able to continue with my Hawke, but I don't think it will happen so, i want at least the option to be a non chantry supporting mage. If I have to support the chantry - I will NOT buy the game. Plain and simple, even in a game I refuse to have anyone else's religion shoved down my throat. Also why I would love to play my hawke and go after Sebastian for the threat he made when I let Anders go. Now chasing, with intent to kill Seb would be a good side quest.

If they, as they stated, continue with the development politics of stripping us of player character flexibility, I rather control Cassandra Penthaghast as the main character.
If they're going the fixed protagonist route anyway, might as well do it properly this time.

Great...now we must be shoved into one of the "Sqeee" threads. Or is it "Gush"?

That said, I a, fairly certain Cassandra will be envolved. She has a rich history if you look into her, as does Lord Seeker Lambert so I am assuming both of them will be involved. Both Seekers too...but on the same side? Hmmm, maybe Cole--we do not truly know what he/it is yet.

Haha never...
Casandra has to be involved, though I don't think they're going to make her the main character, that would upset too many of the male players

I do not think main either, but involved in the plot--like Anders in DA2.

Yeah, I can submit to a "sqee" thread. Although it would suffice as punishment lol

Okay so back to talking about playing as the old god baby (I'm like obsessed with this ever since I saw a video on youtube last night)

In some players game it's not cannon, so in order to do this Bioware would have to establish a game as cannon or they would have to find some other way for Morrigan to have gotten an old god baby,

If they do do this it couldn't of been the same god that was part of the last blight because if the ritual wasn't performed the warden would of died, indicating that the dragon was destroyed with the warden but I think the game says there's still one more dragon god so maybe Flemeth or Morrigan finds it? I'm sure Bioware could come up with something better but it's just an idea

though it would probably be much easier to establish a game as cannon
