After all, there are 2 more "Old Gods" and several lesser known old gods. Who knows truly what
What video did you watch on YouYube?

Perhaps they could use the whole "Riordan" thing for players who did not do the Dark Ritual. Would it be such a shocker if Morrigan lied about needed a Warden with less taint? No really. Easy fix honestly, as for the Ultimate Sacrifice, well maybe Morrigan killed (Very stealth like) you in order to get the soul into her OGB. I would image the writers could do leaps and bounds better work that that but as a starter...you never know what that Morrigan is capable of.

I tried to start a thread on it but no ones answered, hah oh well... And those ideas sound alot better than mine I think they could make it happen if they really wanted to, The videos not by Bioware (or me) but it just got me thinking that the old god baby is going to have some huge effect on the game (or at least I think it should)
the videos called dragon age: change is coming on youtube
I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to post a link for it since I didn't make it but all the credit goes to the author

I really hope Bioware takes that type of approach. What a phenomenal story that all makes. Most significant if the OGB is the only heir to the Ferelden trone. Although, I am willing to bet Cailan has a "bastard" somehere. Flemeth all the sudden scares me lol

I know! whoever makes the videos is a genius
I got some replies to the thread but the point out alot of reasons why the player couldn't be the old god baby, oh well...
Still I hope he (it turns out the baby's gende was comfirmed as male) turns up somewhere int the world, it's too big of a thing just to over look

It lingers in our minds, which suffices as to why it needs some sort of inclusion. When it finally comes to head I am sure it will be an absolute shocker, better than imagined. If not a main character even just a Sadal/Flemeth role.

I didn't see anything about hitler but I saw the weirdest video of dragon age characters cropped out and put in some musical thing lmao
I have a feeling Flemeth is one of the old gods, Morrigan said she wasn't human or an abomination so I have no idea, I just came up with her being that since she can turn into a dragon and everything, but I heard Flemeth won't be in Dragon Age 3, hope it's not true

Hmmm, I have yet to hear that. I hope that would not be so as well. She is a major figure!

(It is a silly video about Hitler yelling about Alistair not truly being in Awakening. I haven't laughed so hard at anything involving Hitler in my life...well except the epic rap battle of him v.s. darth vader--by nicepeter.)

Haha I'll try to look it up!
The game wouldn't be the same without Flemeth, I really hope it's just a rumor. Hopefully we'll find out more news soon with PAX comming up and all that, I can't wait
Back to talking about the Protagonist, so if it won't be the old god baby, who do you think it'll be? I'm thinking we'll get at least 2 origins or backgrounds unless they plan to make us part of another apostate family or some group that allows apostates also, otherwise they'll have to do a mage origin and a warrior/rogue origin, but I'm hoping we'll get more than that

Well, you know, aside from mages' odd fondness for carrying around big pieces of wood, there's actually no reason that the average person should know that you're a mage. Even for Templars, most of their powers seem to be based on shutting down mages who are already under your power, not detecting ones that are in hiding. (Actually, they seem miserably bad at that task, in general.)Fast Jimmy wrote...
I like the idea of choosing a background, THEN choosing a faction later on down the line.
The Chantry has shown that they are willing to deploy mages during times of war (see Wynne at Ostagar), so a mage joining the Chantry faction is doable for them to still go around fighting and exploring.
Being a Seeker-mage would be a hard obstacle to overcome... but I can see them hand waving it. Or they can just do like they did in DA2 and have no one realize you are a mage at all?
I could see the Chantry offering some kind of dispensation and need-to-know basis for the right mage. It seems a very self-serving and pragmatic sort of organization, the kind that would build a secret army in the guise of controlling people who are scared ****less of their own dreams.

I don't care if the option to become a seeker is there for all three classes, but if I am forced to play a seeker and pro-chantry. I am quitting the series. The chantry is not like the wardens, it is a hundred percent political organisation that have questionable goals and not just questionable methods like the wardens had. I do not want to become a part of the organisation because it is 'cool'.

...the Old God you mean? And like Archdemon can shape any darkspawn into a dragon this new protagonist will be able to turn into dragon...Sajuro wrote...

..like in multiplayer mode, where player takes control of a dragon? Makes sense.
I'm sure Gaider will find a way to explain how that protagonist originates if dark ritual wasn't performed. Whatever, I've performed it every time.
Funny how there would be nothing to import from DA2.

I want to actually RP. I didnt really feel like i was doing that in DA2.

Well, I do agree with you. I'd say what was even more frustrating is lack of player impact on the ending.PinkShoes wrote...
Hawke was too much of a set chartacter. All i really want is a lot more choice.
I want to actually RP. I didnt really feel like i was doing that in DA2.
Let's see: Chantry gets blown by Anders, Orsino turns into a harvester and die, Meredith goes insane and dies, Circle in Kirkwall is no more.
So, all your decisions don't mean jack. Problem is... Bioware is done for. Look at ME3 - exact same story. Your decisions are irrelevant.
I've always felt like Bioware provided - compared to other developers - sub-par gameplay and graphics, but superb storytelling and choice-impact mechanics. Now we only have sub-par games.

i want the choice to be other races, espeically a Qunari (Tal Vashoth would be fun), and looking back on it, if i'm forced to be a human, i wouldn't mind being one of the Marsh Men AKA The Chasind.

-the game starts with you as a mage (male or female your choice, human or elf BW's choice because i love voiced protagonist and its easier to do that with 2 voice actors rather than 4)
-you are just an aprentice and didnt finish the harrowing yet (meaning the templars dont have your philactery) but were supposed to go through it in a few days when the demons started attacking (uldred from DA:O) and you started running out when you saw your friends and maybe boy/girl friend were just about to get killed by a demon
-you tried to fight it but the demon was too strong for you and then you flash to the fade where you meet mouse from the magi origin of DA:O
- he tells you he will give you power to help your friends if you give him your body
-while relictant to do so you agree because you dont see any other way too save your friends thus becoming an abomination
-this is when you get the choice between warrior, rogue or mage; while you still have some basic spells like fireball and such no matter your choice because you were once an aprentice and you can use weapons and armor thanks to the mouses strength, again no matter what your choice however your future spells and abilities do depend from your choice of warrior, rogue or mage (its not all the same)
-but when mouse entered your body somethng strange happened, your remained the dominant mind and your body still looks normal so you used mouses strength and killed the demon rescuing your friends and protecting them while they were runing to the entrance/exit of the tower
-when you got there you finally feel like its over and you and your friends are safe for the moment when the templars look at you and start checking for demons, they naturally find out about mouse and treat you like any other abomination and want you dead
-you then escape them and wander around ferelden at first because you were depresed having lost everything and you can hear mouse talking to you something like why dont you let me help you, but you are smart enough to know that all he wants is to control you so you dont give in
-this lasts quite a while until you get out of that deprsed state when you remember that tevinter alows blood magic and demons and you hope that the mages of tevinter might know how to reverse this process
-with this new goal you travel to tevinter and find a magister who is willing to examine you since you dont have any coin being a traveler after all (also it might be cool that you meet your first companion on the way to tevinter but i dont know who that should be yet) and while the magister feels for you he belives that there is no way to reverse the process (whitch there really isnt i would like for the pc and mouse to become friends near the middle of the game and your character can find peace with what he or she has become) but the magister offeres to train you in ways to control your new found powers
-you stayed with him a around 8-10 years and have finished your training (found 1-2 more companions in tevinter, one was the magisters daughter who if your char is male has a crush on you and wants to go with you when you leave and if your char was female then you and her have become good friends over these years and she wishes to explore the world with you who she knows will always be there for her)
-a few months after you started travelig you hear about the mage-templar war that started in the marches and is slowly but surely spreading around the world, at first you try ignoring it feeling nothing for the templars that wanted to kill you for accepting mouse's offer but wanting to help the mages that were once in your place however you know that noting good can come from you an abomination involving yourself so you stay out of it at firs but then somethin happens that forces you to involve yourself
i still havent decided what that should be but it would need to be good, and thats about as far as i got on my own please tell me what you think about this and if you think it is likely
sorry for my spelling

Oh, I see what you did there!
I'm still hoping on the return of the Warden-Commander as a playable character in the next game. They did give hints of a voiced Warden at the PAX Q&A which gives me some hope he/she may make a playable return in Dragon Age 3.
Or I could be completely wrong and they're going to make him a Bioware controlled NPC.
I'm going to pray it's the former...
