Well in KH you still have to press X over and over while hilgting the attack button. I know, sad right?
Just makes it more like older FF mix with the ability to move you toon around, manually.

Those actions commands were added in Kingdom Hearts II that involved the triangle button. I hope to see some interesting interrupts like that in Final Fantasy Versus XIII. They even said that the SIXAXIS motion sensing from the DUALSHOCK 3 controller will be used for certain gameplay combat sequences. I can see the function being OPTIONAL.

Oh god no. Sixaxis was a waste of money and resorces. It failed horribly on day 1.

If they do have the function in the game, I can see it being OPTIONAL.

FF V was released in the US during the PSX heyday under FF Anthology or Collection I believe. Had a copy

The PS1 ports were all as such:

Final Fantasy Origins - Final Fantasy I and II
Final Fantasy Chronicles - Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy Anthology - Final Fantasy V and VI

I owned all three.  I didn't get Anthology until a few years after its release because I wasn't sure I would enjoy V or VI.  Also, I wanted to find out what all the hype over VI was.

I wouldn't mind seeing a modified job system implemented into upcoming FFs. I'm sorta wishing that Square would release more titles and also branch out more like they did during their heyday 90s. They had great scrolling shooter (Einhander), a great srpg (Tactics), along with other great ips (Mana series, Chrono, Xenogears, Super Mario rpg, etc..)

Well, Bamco has the rights to the Xeno series now.

Chrono Trigger was awesome, Chrono Cross not so much, perhaps if it wasn't associated with Chrono Trigger.  I actually liked the combat.
