Maybe it's the sad ending. Do all Zelda games have a trollish/sad ending?

What do you mean by "trollish"?

Midna: S'Okay, Link. We can still chill, we got da mirror.

Well, there's also all those endings where Link defeats Ganon in an epic duel where he usually ends up dead or otherwise has his dastardly plans ruined forever - and you're like all "hell yea i totaly killd dat dude n he b dead now tbh"

Then, as soon as you put in the next Zelda game...

I only played Twilight Princess so far and the water temple wasn't that bad for me.

(Minish Cap was the first game to incorporate this I think) I really loved the Morpheel and Stallord fights.

I forgot to mention The Minish Cap.  That one was pretty fun, it still wasn't what I feel is one of the truly good ones.  It was just not very memorable.  I don't remember much of it, the same goes for Phantom Hourglass, whereas I remember almost everything about all the other games in the series I have played, of which Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and now Skyward Sword are the only ones I haven't played.

I don't consider Spirit Tracks a Zelda game, from what I've read about it.

@drunk canadian....

Thanks. I thought I was the only gamer in the universe who can't stand Zelda. Nice to know I'm not the only one. :)

No disrespect to those of you who like it....just not remotely my cup of tea.

I'ld say over all I like the whole series, OoT is the one I enjoyed the most minus the ending..Really Zelda? Oh btw thx you caused a time paradox. I'll say I never finished Majora's mask as the whole "Three days" thing pissed me off, Wind Waker however I disliked for it being an alternate reality, and the whole water world vibe it has going on...plus the Zora's turning into bird people...let me get this right a water based race...in a world coverd in water....turn into birds?..Okay..

If the gods flooded the world to keep people from finding Hyrule Castle, why wouldn't they change the one race that could easily swim down and find it? Now that they're bird-people, it'd be almost impossible for anyone to find it.

The Wind Waker timeline doesn't exist to me - there is only that which occurred after young Link placed the Master Sword back in its pedestal. Any talk of a flood or Zoras turning into bird people is just rumor and hearsay.

lol agreed.

The whole Windwaker thing only happend as Zelda sent Link back in time leaving her time without a Link, so when Ganon returned there was no Link to stop him, so Zelda made a time paradox, silly princess and her time.......wait...if she could always change time and what not, why didn't she just...go back in time and warn her dad?

Stupid blondes.

Zelda, ahhh the memories.

How cool it was back as a little kid.  All the Nintendo games were gray cartridges, but Zelda was GOLD :o.

Back in the day when the map filled in as you found your own way.  Remember how pumped I was when I completed the skull map in the last dungeon.

Ahh, the memories.

Nah I'm not mad at him, more like the Goddesses,  If he can't be sealed away, killed, or well anything, why don't the just wipe away all trace of him? Then again maybe they are dicks like the Grek gods.

The start is a LOT faster than Twilight Princess's for one.

I've got to say that Dungeon 4 alone ups the worth of the game quite a bit. I had my doubts at first, and it's a bit linear, but it was so well-designed. It was a breath of fresh air ofter that cluster**** of a 3rd dungeon. The item is also worthwhile, too, as being the first thing that actually uses the Wiimote intuitively with little to no problem (besides the issue of take out and put back item being on the same button). The layout was pretty cool, allowing you to explore a huge environment fully with little backtracking. The basement with the zombies kicked ass (though the bunch that appeared when I took the boss key were a complete joke. My instinct was just to run past them all, which required a certain tactical genius foreign to the dungeon architects and other such lackwits). Also, that boss goes down as one of my favorites of all time. Not that difficult, but just awesome. Fluid movements, the right balance of strengths and weaknesses and a huge payoff towards the end. The moment I realized what to do with that huge sword, though, a hugeass grin nestled itself somewhere in the crevice of my face.

This game has its strengths and weaknesses. I wouldn't put it as the best Zelda game out there, but I'll say it falls in the middle of the 3D Zeldas. Better than Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess (which in retrospect was pretty terrible), but still lower than Majora's Mask and Wind Waker.

Best I can say without spoilers(yup only said some stuff about one dungeon) you need to play it like now.

Oh and the story is just...<3<3<3:wub:

Nice, (most 3rd dungeons are usually a cluster**** so I usually come prepared, unless it's Great Bay. You can NEVER be prepared for that place) I'm getting the game on Xmas anyway that much is certain.

During my vacation and after finishing Skyward Sword, I was thinking of going back and replaying through my favorite entries in the series. It's been a while since I expressed my Zelda fanatic.

Well I got the game recently. Don't feel like giving my final verdict till I beat it though I will say this; there is  lots more stuff to do and get than in any other Zelda game out there. It may overwhelm some people though since most of us are hardened WRPG players who comb through tons of side quests and stuff there isn't much to be worried about. A lot of equipment you can upgrade though.

I'm one of the WW and MM hipsters. I liked how different they were from the other games of the series. The WW art style still impresses me to this day and I would love to see it in HD.

I bought SS a month ago and I've just made it to the 3rd dungeon (Desert). I'm liking it, but I just don't have the time to put some serious investing into it. I'm taking it slow, I guess.

I have to say that Ghirahim is probably one of my most favorite boss fights in the series. The first serious sword fight with WiiMotionPlus (and the learning curve) really blew me away. He made me use my spare potion, almost depleted all my hearts, and broke my shield. It was such an intense fight.

Agreed. I just beat it about an hour ago and thought it was fantastic. It just might be the best Zelda they've released yet, and it's making me nostalgic for Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker.

Triple split timeline?

Wow... Looking at it in detail though, it makes the most sense out of any fan theories.
