Well, yeah. Should my opinion have changed somewhere halfway through November, then? It's was a disappointing script when it came out, and it still is now.Someone With Mass wrote...
I also think Cheez just pointed out that you have had a negative viewpoint on the script ever since it came out (you pretty much showed it it the same comment too) and that makes you a little biased.

Seriously. The only thing you like about Mass Effect is... well, I can't think of anything other than TIM.

Considering there are photos of Green and Helfer in the studio, I'm almost certain he'll be reprising his role.
See this is what I'd like to know. Is there list anywhere stating which VAs are known to have come back? I believe you as if memory serves I did hear Joker on the Normandy in like one of the E3 trailers. Though I was basically just using him as an example on how the loss of few VAs can make or break something. Still there's a number of characters that are very much in question I'd assume. Granted it seems that the vast majority are coming back, but my cage of confidence has been rattled a bit.
As I recall in ME2 every single character still had the same VA. Even down to characters as minor as Fist. It was refreshing to see that Bioware with-held no expense to get everyone back to keep the experience cohesive from one game to the next. It's a shame they seem not to be with ME3.

imdb it....take it with a grain of salt as imdb can't always be reliable.

I sort of love Kaiser's posts. There is such certainty exerted that there is no way that anybody elses opinion can possibly have any merit and is automatically and unequivocally wrong.
Plot armor in your own story? How ironic.
I forget, has he ever griped about an ME2 character's plot armor, or am I getting the members of the "even more dour and pesimistic than Killjoy" club confused again?

Well, everything you say is shallow and baseless. Par example: have I ever expressed a fanatic love of TIM?Someone With Mass wrote...

Quite untrue. And you're just so positive about the script because you get to be together with your virtual space <3husbandu<3 again.
And you're just butthurt because TIM turns out to be the royal douchebag he always has been, so I'd guess you're disqualified too.
See? I can also make shallow and baseless assumptions.
I'm merely disappointed at the lack of proper roleplaying and choice/consequence in the game, as well as the generally low level of writing.

Dude, I have played both games for over 800 hrs combined, so by no means did I invest little time. But even then, I don't really care that much, considering that the trailers have been good so far and spoiler free. I would definitely want the game to be as good as possible, but getting scared is kind of too much. But OP cleared that with me anyway, so there goes your point.DiebytheSword wrote...

Scared! Wow. Talk about overreacting. It is a game, not your life!
Some people are heavily invested in this series, both with time and emotion, who are you to judge them? And what does it say about you, who criticizes someone elses thread title on a forum from the internet?
Not that I disagree with the game not being your life, but you certainly could have been less rude expressing your opininon.

This isn't a hate thread or spam or anything, but with all of the spoiler reading people basically saying ME3 is the opposite of what we thought it would be I can't help but find myself worried that some of it might be true. I mean, from what I've seen everyone is saying that Bioware has turned it into a TPS and made the focus on deep story take a passenger seat. So is anyone else a little on edge about the whole thing? I have yet to read any spoilers and will not be reading them, but I already prepurchased the CE and I just wanna know that what I'm getting is an ME game and not a shooter with a few negligible choices sprinkled in. I know we Bioware fans are a sensative bunch and that we tend to exagerate things, but still, some confirmation would be nice.
EDIT: BTW, I'm still hyped like a middle school girl for this game, so ya.
There are people who are excited just as there are people who are disappointed - I would say there is a silent majority of people who are pretty content with what they have seen. It's just that people who have something to complain about, naturally, will have something to say. And that's not a bad thing.
Even though there are things I'm not too fond of, I will definitely say that as of right now, my CE preorder will stand.

You know, I can't be certain that he has. Still, I never appreciate the always right types telling others how their opinion is superior, invalidating and demonizing opponents for an opposing viewpoint, comedy intended or no.

Not that I've noticed.
I've noticed a few people being questioned for assuming they know what ME3 will be like in every detail based on a couple of leaked beta scripts and such.

PEOPLE, YOU CAN EXPRESS DISAPPOINTMENT WITHOUT BEING A DOUCHEBAG.
"I'm not satisfied with how they handled the Cerberus issue. I was really looking forward to further adventures into the morally gray, and I hate to see such a fine character as TIM be reduced to a simple villain. It's dampened my faith in Bioware to resort to this simple good guy/bad guy dynamic yet again in an IP that showed a lot more promise and maturity originally."
Kaiser and I are douches to each other all the time, though. It is mutually permitted heckling.

I think some people have unrealistic expectations of what they want the game to be. Nobody can really say what the it will be like until the game is released. The multiplayer is completely optional and won't effect the story if you don't want it too and i'm expecting the story and cutscenes to be somewhat like ME2's DLC with more improvements.
That's about all I can say.
I hate to say this...
The Multiplayer while it is optional, from what I've read "may" have an impact on the game as a whole. Similarly, the side quests and missions done in Mass Effect 1&2 "may or may not" have a pending effect in the next game. Hints lead me to believe that the multiplayer feature will cycle in some fudged RTS mechanic, possibly one or more that Bioware liked from absorbing C&C from EA.
As far as expectations are concerned, we are talking about Shepard here. He's been fighting the Reapers for years now, so I don't think intense RPG elements will be "required," the same goes for returning characters, though armor customization, weapon customization, and skill modifications (the root of RPG games as a whole) do need to be in place.
If they tell a good story, have a lengthy game, and don't turn this or follow up games into Gears of War with a blind firing mechanic, or other machismo related unrealistic combat tactics, I'll be happy.
that said, they wouldn't need a follow up to ME3, if... well... they finished the story.

It's actually starting to hit me that we are closing in on Mass Effect 3. It's going to look insanely close in January, on the other side of my vacation. We've reached the beginning of the end.
