Forgive me if the answer is simple, but I can't make heads or tails of the instructions. This mod looks amazing but for the life of me I can't figure out how to install it, everytime I try I get a message saying I need expansion 2 Hotu installed , and because I'm running Motb 1.23 I'm obviously doing something terribly wrong with the file placement. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me install this.

Hi,

Are you trying to install it in a module or persitant world you are building, or just trying to play games with the prestige class? From the looks of the instructions, I think that this prestige class has to be integrated with any game you play it with. Although I could be wrong, the instructions lead me to believe that to play this, the person making the module has to add custom scripts into the mod to make the PrC work.

These are all in your my documents/neverwinter nights 2 folder.

So, does it work in the included test module?

Thanks for the speedy replies guys, I'm just trying to use the mod in the main campaigns. I followed that part of the instructions Kamal, but when I tried to start the test mod I got the error about Hotu needing to be installed. Thinking it was something wrong with my files I just reinstalled the game and now I get "Expansion 2 needs to be installed" or something similar when i try to use the test mod.
My computer sucks so I don't like to play with Soz, but I installed it anyways to see if it would help and now I get a missing custom talk table message when trying to play the sample.

I don't want to resurrect a year old thread...but I'm having the same problem. And since this hasn't been resolved yet, I might as well ask the same question again. How can I install this in the OC? It uses hak if I remember correctly.

You're getting messages about HotU? The howto document is complicated sounding, but looks like it would work fine with the official campaigns if you used the toolset to do what the howto says needs to be done, to the modules.

After looking this pack over, I can tell you that there isn't a simple way to just add it to the OC.  The system uses custom scripts on the module properties as well as custom content in a hak and a custom TLK.  So if you wanted to get this working in the OC, MotB or SoZ you would need to do the following:

• Extract all the CC out of the hak and place it into a folder in your override.
• Extract all the scripts and files out of the .erfs (you'll have to pick one as they are designed for different versions of the game) and place them into your override.
• Place the TLK in your TLK folder.
• Open up all of the OC modules and add the custom scripts in the appropriate places.  The demo mod should show you where.  There is also a custom varible set in the module properties.  You'd need to set that too in every OC module.

Chances are there would be some pretty bad bugs, but it's worth a try if you really want to do this.  This system was designed for custom made modules or PWs...not for OC modification.

Ouch! That sounds to be so much work. I don't think it's worth all the trouble, I'd rather settle with Mystic Theurge. But I'm interested on how how you can extract from hak? What tool should I use? Google isn't too helpful when I search for that.

Great set of games in both of your sigs by the way. Most of my favorites are there.
