For those of you (like me) that got quite a few white hair running out of potions in crucial situations and thought the game doesnt give you enough materials to make your own potions (or doesnt give you enough already-made potions through monster drops)  here is a piece of info that will make your dao playthru much less irritating. I found out a few places where some potion-making ingredients are sold and are infinite (providing youre ready to lay down the dough of course):

Elfroot leaves: Dalish camp -- Varathorn vendor

Lyrium powder: Circle Tower --  Quartermaster

Distillation Agent: Camp area -- Bodahn

Concentrator Agent: Camp Area -- Bodahn

Bottles: Camp Area -- Bodahn

I did not find that out till late in my first game and would have loved to know that much sooner so i thought this might help a few folks make enough potions to enjoy the game more (If this was posted somewhere else before sorry in advance)

Ruck in Ortan Thaig, has an infinite supply of Deep Mushrooms.

The bar keep in the Gnawed Noble Tavern sells the distillation agent, concentrator agent and bottles for less money than what Bodahn does.

Do not buy anything you don't have to from Bodhan. This means anything but the backpack upgrade and the stat/skill books. He charges too much. Sell stuff to him only.

But, but,... he said I'm getting a good discount!!<_<

Spmetimes I wish this game was like Fallout3, if anybody p*sses you off, you can waste 'em ( course you may not be able to complete the game then, but it is SO gratifying)

The discount is a lie! Actually, you shouldn't even need to buy his backpack upgrade. I have two vendors with available backpacks that sells them for a gold less than Bodhan, and I am capped at 125 slots. I hope future DLC will include level cap raise and inventory size raise. Shame to have potentially more space increases, but buying the backpacks will not raise it further as there is a cap limit.

Once you finish some quests for someone inside a bar.. *cough*.. you get access to a extra option with a certain vendor outside the bar to purchase some additional stuff. Things in there tends to be on the cheaper side. (Trying to keep it (SPOILER-FRIENDLY) hehe..)
